More often than not blue fragrances get immediately classified as generic. So PdM thought lets take the same mass appealing base that works with such a huge crowd and work on the mid and top.

Green juicy apple with spicy pepper is what I get. Lifted up by ozonic notes and at the same time grounded by oak moss and dry woods. It feels full and pleasing. Although the formula seems so simple I cannot think of any scent alike. Guess they found a niche within an overcrowded market - and exactly that is why its worth the money. Mass appealing but unique at the same time, how often do you find that?
The only criticisms I have to raise is that the the longevity could be better and the cashmeran is a bit to prominent for my taste - it somehow tingles my nose after some time... maybe thats on purpose idk.
Sedley and Greeley so far a win for me, where do you guys think they will go next in their clear bottle lineup? Pale yellow? Turquoise?

Its not just a clone of BR540, its so much more. Whereas BR540 is just liquid cotton candy with medicinal hospital vibes, this is sugary sweet without getting too sticky. It has a fresh citrusy and floral counterpart which balances it out so well. Whereas it has a good dose of complexity it in a way also has a molecule like character as well. It somehow connects with your body creating such a diffusive and pleasant aura. Interestingly enough it merges depending on being sprayed on a man or woman. This is really a scent to explore and experiment with in different seasons and weather conditions.
More than I ever expected from it - what a pleasant surprise!

I know reviews should be detailed and show my feelings towards a scent ... however not every story needs to be blown up. It is Cedrat Boise... not even 2.0 more like 1.1
Even at a straight comparison there is not much of a difference. Is that a bad thing? Well, whereas I wished for a twist in the DNA I am also quite pleased with this one. Why? The DNA was already perfect to begin with. To my nose there are only minuscule differences but somehow in every category and also to the positive. Imagine it as being 10% better in longevity, better rounded, better sillage, complexity and so on. Like a round metal sphere which doesn't have any edges to begin with and applying some polish to give it its final touch to let it shine. So if you add everything up I would always grab for the Intense.
Summed up I always smile looking at it, isn't it what's it all about? :)

I never experience something like this. I sprayed it on my arm and was immediately hit with a salty, synthetic green and animalic watery blast. It literally fills the whole room. As it dilutes it looses its synthetic nature and opens a bit up. Yea it smells marine like but definetly not fishy or like an actual habor. Its more on the salty side with synthetic fantasy notes. And in all honesty without synthetics you wouldn't be able to create such a monster. Imagine it like the essence of a sea storm that rushes out of the bottle, blows through the whole room before it settles down and leaves a marine aura lasting for days

Now I understand the "Gold" in the name - it literally tells you what a treasure it is

Up first I have to say you have to smell it by yourself, its just so unique. Nevertheless let me give it a try describing it...
In the opening you get some classical fresh fougere vibes. Lavender, a touch of violet and citrus in the back - Chopard Heaven or Joop Nightflight is the closest I can imagine of
Further into the scent you get fruity notes flickering trough, more on the tropical side... maybe banana? More candied sugary than ripe authentic banana. If you smelled Calvin Klein Escape you maybe know what I am talking about.
It always hold a perfect balance between fresh, sweet and fruity. The marine notes listed is more of a ambergris like aroma that helps it keep a modern appeal.
The rose is not really detectable by its own but gives it a powdery texture, similar to how its done in Aoud Blue Notes - actually you can detect quite a bit of similarities between the 2 but I can't really tell where they are coming from, just the overall feel
In the drydown you get a masculine and clean vetiver/ blond woody combination with the tiniest touch of cold smoke.
For me its an all year round scent but it especially shines in the colder ways where it almost developes a eucalyptus mintiness in the air.

Its quite a rare occurrence that you encounter a unique fougere that is modern, long lasting, mass appealing, not dated, has a absolutely stunning bottle and is affordable.

This is all you can expect from a blind buy - it is one of these treasures I found throughout my fragrance journey that keeps me exploring the wast ocean of undiscovered gems!
