This is a very complex perfume. Its beauty is that it mixes hot and cold, fresh and warm. On initial spray you get citrus. It's a nice citrus that makes you smile. Soon the fragrance starts to warm up, the Star Anise and floral notes start to make their presence known. Stays that way for at least 30 lovely minutes, then the Cacao starts to come in, mixing with the citrus and the florals and the whole composition starts to soften up. AND is completely gone after 3-4 hours...not even a skin scent.
But I liked it. A lot.. Don't get me wrong, it's a great composition, if you need to wear something for a couple of hours. Or less!
The truth is I kind of miss it. Maybe I should get my nose on the edp.

This opens with a blast of geranium and lavender. But as it continues, it becomes more rosy, and the patchouli becomes very evident. This is a patchouli unlike any other I have smelled. It seems more green and woody than dark and chocolatey. Some warm, dusty powder as it dries down.
The whole fragrance is extremely interesting. Complex, and surprisingly refreshing. Old-fashioned type fragrance with a barbershop vibe on my nose.
The sillage and longevity are excellent.

Clean, fresh, long lasting modern barbershop type perfume with a good sillage. Lovely zesty lemon blended so well with lavender and dense elemi that gives off a fresh toned down leather vibe. Lavender and vetiver give this so much character. This scent evolves quite a lot from start to finish, all the notes in this work well. Even though there are many other similar styled fragrances, this one just stands out.
Gentlemanly, not offensive, luxurious. Beautifully done.

This is a heavenly smooth and classy woody scent. It’s warm and also presents an airy cool to it too. Very masculine, mature and sophisticated.
In the opening you get a blast of cedar wood and pepper. At the drydown you are left with a smooth cedar with musky undertones.
It has a classic feel,and I feel very comfortable wearing it. Like many others, I don’t detect any oud. I’m fine with that though. The Oud is misleading to people who are accustomed to the very heavy scent that ingredient presents. But remember this is a Creed fragrance where royalty was always in mind when concocted, so this house always gives a light and clean version of each interpretation.
Royal Oud is an incredible fragrance. For woody fragnance lovers who want something clean and not overly done.
Formal and casual occasion as well.

Warm woody notes, sandalwood and a present and very pleasant tobacco wrapped in aldehyde hints and fresh violets. Woody and aromatic sillage. Very complex. It is spicy, dark, sweet and definitely does smell like autumn.
Doesn`t smell anything like the synthetic Encre Noir waste. They simply have a similar vibe.
Sycomore encapsulates everything I want from a vetiver fragrance. It's smoky, earthy, a bit green, delightfully woody, spicy, fresh & clean and blended to perfection so that all the notes exist in perfect harmony and balance.
Unisex scent, great for every season and occasion. If you like vetiver, it is a safe buy and a must have.
