Classical sandalwood fragrance
I have just recently bought a bottle of Pierre Cardin's Pour Monsieur. I love classical fragrances, and as a scent this one is 100% that: a sandalwood heavy, classical barbershop. I have never smelled any vintage bottles of Pour Monsieur, but unfortunately I have to state that current formulation has absolutely no longevity.
I have tested Pour Monsieur now a few times, last time was total 9 sprays, 3x3 pattern: 3x same spot inside both my elbows and 3x on clothes. After 2 hours, it is totally gone. Not even a skin scent. Very unfortunate; the smell is good but no longevity at all makes it a useless fragrance. Not worth even $10.

Discontinued, good enough cheap alternative for Dior Homme
I find this one quite similiar to Dior Homme. Obviously, being a 10€ fragrance it is more synthetic. But in 9/10 cases people I've blind tested haven't noticed a difference. If it wasnt discontinued, I would recommend it.
If you know Dior Homme (2005); you know this one too. It can be called a clone. Overall longevity and projection are decent, considering the price. I am getting around 6 hours of longevity and average projection close to 2 hours.
The bottle design is better than usually on cheapies, with textured lions head, decently thick glass and ok atomizer. The plastic neck into what the cap clicks in seems to be poor quality and comes off with the cap often.
So, yes, good enough cheap alternative for DH. When I heard it's discontinued I hoarded extra bottles for about 10€ per 100ml. I got a lifetime supply now :)

"Ok for the price". I paid €3,60 for 100ml. Just tossed it in the cart to see how it really is, because it was on sale for such ridiculous price. Never wanted or really considered buying this before.
The scent itself isn't bad, it is actually ok, kinda fresh.
But as people point out, performance is bad. You need to spray heavily. That's fine, since this one costs next to nothing.
At stupidly low price, under €5, why not just try it. But definitely not worth seeking out and wasting your time. Most likely I wont be wearing this at all, or just after shower and at home when I'm going to do some work at the yard - when I dont want to use anything more expensive or better wearables.

For vanilla lovers
Vanilla, vanilla. If you like vanilla heavy fragrances, you will like this one. And in contrast, if you dont like vanilla, you might want to stay out of this one. I personally like it, it has a nice deep touch to it. Both projection and sillage are pretty average. I've been wearing it both day and night.
Only downside is the bottle with a poor sprayer; I need to press the sprayer REALLY HARD to get a decent spray, or else it will just spurt a stream and spill all over the bottle itself.
