Different than expected
It was once again just before my vacation. I of course in high spirits. So purely in the city and after some unsuccessful visits to the usual clothing stores I suddenly had a huge desire for a new fragrance. I still had a few scents on my phone that I wanted to try out because of the good reviews, the scent pyramids and of course the beautiful bottles. So I went to the Dougi in the pedestrian zone. Hach how wonderful! Corona had kept me away for far too long. So it was all the nicer to walk into a perfumery again. The fragrance that envelops me. The elegance that this wonderful ambience exudes. I'm back! I was able to test four fragrances. None of them were what I was looking for. They didn't have the fifth scent on my list. Dolce vita. I must have looked very disappointed. The extremely nice employee at the Dougie then sent me a few doors down. To Karstadt. They had their very own Dior department there. So of course I went there. What a wonderful department! First come the other perfumes. Hundreds of them. Thousands of them! And then at the very end, actually, a separate Dior section. Again, super nice staff. And it's all very elegant. The testers don't just stand there, they're fetched specially. So there it is. Dolce vita. First, of course, on the test strips. No, wait They have test tapes. The scent probably unfolds better there, says the super sweet employee. Now that's what I call love for the scent! The first spray on the test strip actually made me curious. It took a while until I could smell something, because the ribbon was constantly waving back and forth. But I followed it with my nose and actually caught something like a first whiff. Must have looked nice. I always follow the band with my nose. The lady had then a mercy and held me the tape directly under the nose. Then I wanted to know exactly and had the scent sprayed on my wrist. Then I went outside to let it work. I found it really stunning. Walked back and forth outside in the rain and kept sniffing my wrist. Beautiful! Also the scent progression. Then at the end there was something. Something weird. But anyway. It's a great scent. At least, that's what I told myself. So I went back and bought it. I sprayed myself with it at home the next day after my shower, full of anticipation. And what can I say. I suddenly didn't like it anymore. The first moment was still as stunning as the first time I tested it. But then what I had smelled the day before came out. A weird development on my skin. I then did the ultimate test. My daughter had to serve. She had the Dolce vita sprayed on her hand. And there it was again. Just stunningly beautiful, from start to finish. Conclusion. The scent and I, we are not going to be friends. He doesn't like me. Dear ones, I now have here a newly purchased fragrance. It's missing exactly four sprays. I think it would be a shame to leave it in a drawer and forget about it. What should I do? I think I would like to give it to a lover of this fragrance. It comes disinfected in the original packaging. It was really just bought 2 weeks ago. Who would like to have it? Possibly for a sample or two of other perfumes to trade?

Surprise!
Actually, I'm not that excited about YR's fragrances. With most of them, I have the feeling that I don't even recognize the individual fragrance components that I read in the description. Then there is almost always something about the scent that bothers me. Most of the time I like the first second after spraying it on, that is, the "eye blink" quite a bit, but then.... Now about 1 year ago I actually found a fragrance by YR that I really, really like. "Sel d Azur!" I still love it. It's my daily companion. I also wrote a correspondingly euphoric review back then. Then came fragrances that really disappointed me. Either much too sweet, or the fragrance components do not fit somehow. Or the base note ruins everything. A huge compliment at this point to whoever writes the scent descriptions for YR. He always gets me :-)) Now I ordered Corona conditional my skincare products online a while back (test appointment, in-store appointment, etc was way too much hassle with!). So in to the website and shopping cart filled. And there it is again. A gift from YR. A fragrance. Wonderfully described. But already the last fragrance I got as a gift was not mine at all ("Cuir de nuit" ). This time "Tropical Tentation". Took it then. Gift horse. Why not?
Today he came. Have him of course immediately sprayed. And what can I say? I like him! The "eye impact" is wonderfully fresh and citrusy, just how I love it. Unfortunately, it fades away really quickly. But I also like what comes next. It remains a very soft powdery note that doesn't change much. I like that in an everyday fragrance. The fresh first breeze and then an unobtrusive and frankly also indefinable fine sweet powdery sillage accompanies me through the day. A nice surprise. I will definitely use it more often!

Lemony-fresh? Lemony-fresh!
Oh God, how long have I been looking for a lemony scent! So someone who still smells like lemon after an hour! I honestly said I gave up hope after a lot of "I got him now!"... "Don't sigh, sigh". Then don't! Don't be. There are more important things in life. Y R I had actually already sworn off. Promises too much without keeping it. Not natural cosmetics, pfff. But in Munich, in the pedestrian zone is just such a tiny Yves Roches. And it was just my last working day before my vacation. In my opinion, the most beautiful day in working life: the last working day before holidays. Two weeks vacation ahead of me. High spirits. And there I am again into the Y R. Just quick to the scents. Had a feeling... Well, there they are, the scents. And for each fragrance, a brief description. "Flowery", "Oriental", etc. and just at Sel D `Azur: "lemony fresh". Hmm. All right, then. First on the test strip. Wow, it's really lemony! All right, I dare. Spray it on your wrist. And I have to say, I really like it! I can still smell lemon after 1 hour and even after 2 hours. She's getting softer, possibly soapier? But not bad. I'd say it's suitable for everyday use. Or even suitable for holidays? after some time something joins the lemon. Maybe the Virginia cedars? Or the Haitian vetiever? I might. I can't tell you because I don't know what those scents are. But I like them. I bought it then and would like to apply it on my city trip to Hamburg. He's so unobtrusive. So fresh. Then I was only curious how the remainders of the perfume on my jacket would smell the next day. Cause I don't like it when there's a stale smell the next day. But no, the "blue salt" can also score here. Only a slight pleasant touch remains. So in summary, I can say it's a fresh lemony everyday scent. No more, no less. He's hardly changing. Just kind of softening up. With pleasant silage. "Lemony-fresh"! On to Hamburg, with Y R in the luggage!!!
