The son of the dragon
Midnight. The dark lord silently creeps through the corridors. His deadly presence is in the air. He has spent his days in a dusty coffin for over 400 years; only at night is he allowed to leave his castle to quench his thirst. The last sentence sends a cold shiver down your spine? Well it's too late, hiding is pointless. He is already there!

Indian jasmine sambac absolute combined with Haitian vetiver and nagarmotha create the illusion of an animalic leather scent. It is opulent, abstract and yet it feels good, like a second skin. It is masculine and sexy, but definitely not a fragrance for everyday wear. The durability is almost unbeatable in my opinion, with the sillage vemutlich rather average and that's good, because anything else would probably be "too much" for the people around me.

I bought this fragrance, wore it a few times and sold it again, because I unfortunately found little use for it. Nevertheless, I rated him pretty good, because in itself he is also beautifully made. I just miss the wearability scale on Parfumo, because it is also an important factor. A fragrance can smell good and still not be very wearable. In fact, I'd argue that the rather poorer overall rating reflects that very perception. Nevertheless, I definitely appreciate this modern interpretation of a vetiver fragrance.

Finally, Sauvage!
Sauvage has always excited me as a name in itself. Each of us probably has a wild side that you let appear every now and then. To that end, of course, I have to say that I think the ad campaign with Johnny Depp was pretty successful, since for me this man embodies exactly what one imagines by "wild life". And yet I have never been a big fan of the Sauvage line, at least until today...

He is a wild beast! Finally, exactly THAT what you would expect from a "Sauvage". He is a fougere that seeks its equal; Monstrous sillage and even better durability. Clearly he is somewhat animalistic, but in itself unique and yet quite portable; Suitable for any season and even Signature-Worthy (if you have just the right personality to it).

More than just a designer fragrance!

Togetherness in front of the fireplace
Lost in thought, I drive straight home after work. It's been such a long week and it's dark and cold outside. I'm already looking forward to the weekend with you. As soon as I arrive home, I am greeted by the delicious smell of Christmas cookies you baked for us. You greet me with a kiss and ask me about my day. We put on smooth jazz, sit on the couch in front of the fireplace and drink mulled wine to warm up. Outside it's snowing, but we don't notice anything...

Amber Absolute is slightly spicy, a little smoky, yet also a little "boozy" and quite cozy warm. In a sense, a romantic and at the same time not for the faint of heart. It is long lasting, intense and expressive, yet it does not overwhelm. An inexperienced nose will not immediately understand it, but once you get used to its opulence, you will never get the fragrance out of your head.

He is a legend!

The forest chapel
Deep snow. Surrounded by frost and fir trees, I move forward. Slightly exhausted, but relaxed; lonely, but happy. I take another deep breath and continue to run. We will meet again very soon...

It consists almost entirely of wood. It was built more than 100 years ago. A sacred place of security, surrounded by the sweet smell of incense. The snow continues to fall softly. A grounding experience, on the way to reflection...

Carpeting and crystal chandeliers
When I was very young, on Sundays I was always sent to swim lessons at one of the most beautiful hotels in the city. It was that moment when I was first introduced to the world of luxury, red carpeted floors and glittering crystal chandeliers. Suddenly I was surrounded by wealthy businessmen dressed in their best. Expensive suits, immaculately pressed shirts, thick silk ties and freshly polished lace-ups were not the exception, but the rule.

Foresighted and halting, I walked through the lobby of the hotel. The entire environment, every single detail left me with an extremely charismatic impression. But I will never forget what was for me the highlight of this morning. An older gentleman, gray hair, gray suit, walked past me, followed by the most beautiful fragrance cloud I had ever perceived in my life.

Today I know it was the magical blend of fresh bergamot, aromatic lavender, bitter vetiver and dark cedar wood; So incredibly masculine, noble and serious. The fragrance that will never go out of fashion. The fragrance that may accompany me throughout life. The fragrance with which I will write history...
