Now I have to plead guilty: I have yet to test a Parfums de Marly fragrance. Even though everyone always raves about Delina and Cassili, nothing has moved me to test the fragrances yet.

Then on the Parfumo home page came the little pink bottle as a newbie. With the color pink I was immediately picked up and had to look at the fragrance notes - I am then just too girly. Raspberry and marshmallow appealed to me right away and since I'm more into the designer world and not necessarily at home in the niche, I hoped the scent would still be pleasing. There were immediately drawn comparisons to love dont be shy by Kilian, but I also do not know and can unfortunately say nothing about it.

So said done: sniffed at Parfumo in the souk and found a dear lady who sent me a filling. Today she arrived. Immediately I tore open the envelope to spray me the fragrance. Despite my impatience, I waved my arm back and forth twice, trying hard not to put my nose to the scent right away.... The waving was already sending a sweet cloud my way, so I did bring my hand to my nose right away.... and then... BOOOOOMMM!!!!!

The scent:
The beginning is super fresh/citrusy, but really not for long. The first few seconds the grapefruit comes through for me quite dominant, but not bitter at all, but rather fresh, almost sweetish. After the next neutral inhale and sniff again, however, the scent has already changed again for me. Fruity notes come in. The currant I perceive almost not at all, which is very good for me, because I get a headache with too strong currant unfortunately always. Instead, the raspberry is all the more present and beautiful. Not tangy fresh, but rather sugared, but still true to the original and not strongly synthetic - which I find great. The orange blossom joins in, on the same level as the raspberry. The heart of the scent is so beautifully fruity sweet, making it a perfect fit for me in the spring and summer.... just heavenly...maybe you can already tell I'm in love! The fruity notes are insanely great highlighted by the sweet base notes. The marshmallow is quite present here. This is a really nice powdery marshmallow. So not sticky, but with this powdery layer on top. I'm sure you've seen these before. The cream and the musk support the sweetness and round it off creamy.

So I don't want to go out on a limb, but this could smoothly become a new candidate for a signature scent. This one really goes all the time. Sweet and fruity, but not too loud. Goes guaranteed also discreetly dosed in the office and makes a good mood, even in bad weather.

It is a very young fragrance. So he fits well with women in their mid-20s (like me, that's why I talk myself beautiful).... Of course everyone is allowed to wear what they want and a fragrance knows no age or gender, but that would be my first association now.

The sillage and durability:
The sillage and longevity are solid, but by no means slaying or overpowering. The scent hovers around you as a small bubble for the first few hours, after which it becomes skin tight very quickly.

But come on - since I'm an absolute oversprayer anyway, I don't care. With a few more sprays you also get the to a sweet marshmallow beast - and if not - is re-sprayed.

So far I have seen him in Germany yet on any website, only on the Parfums de Marly page. Sobalf he is there in German perfumeries, I will buy him immediately as a bottle! Simply just wonderfully beautiful.....

So first of all: I think I'm almost alone with my opinion on a wide floor. But first I would like to explain how I came to this fragrance.

My favorite Youtuber Paulina Schar has featured this scent in her videos up and down. In both warm and sensual and date scents, this beautiful black bottle was always there. Since she and I have similar "smells", I had to order this scent. Even though it was very dangerous to just blindly hit it - because I'm not really a neroli fan, unfortunately. But what else is left in the current situation also not. But well. No sooner said than done - two days later it arrived. With joyful expectation I unpacked the fragrance, sniffed it and WOW - what I get at first is a strong coconut and vanilla, which plays quite happily with the floral notes. A fresh fruitiness is delivered at the start by the apple, mandarin and just very subtly the scent of neroli. After the first couple of minutes, the fresh notes drop down a bit and you're left with an incredibly harmonious blend of florals, coconut and vanilla that feels so cozy and creamy that you can't help but feel good about the scent. For me, it also has a total oriental EInschlag because of the vanilla-apple-coconut combo.

Furthermore, he shines with a very good durability and a pleasant sillage, but not slaying, but is still present.

However, when I look at the categorization of the community, that the fragrance is rather put in the winter and autumn, I fall totally out of line.

I fundamentally imagine this fragrance to be good in all seasons and yes, everyone is right that it suits the cool seasons very well as it is warm, heavy and creamy.
However, when I close my eyes and sniff the scent, it immediately transports me to a balmy summer evening at a restaurant, beach or boardwalk with a glass of Hugo. Due to the for me oriental impact and the dominant coconut, it just belongs for me quite clearly in my go-to summer fragrances for the evening.

Possibly someone understands my slightly different enthusiasm for the fragrance.

In the beginning - I grew up with the fragrance. My mother had had this fragrance before and had worn it very often as long as I can remember.
Therefore this fragrance per se has a very individual value for me, as I associate it with home.

Now I haven't lived at home for a long time and the smell was out of my head.
Recently, however, I received a little test at Douglas and had to smile right away. In my perfume collecting passion, this fragrance has completely disappeared and I never bought it. Until now.

After I emptied the small bottle within a very short time and enjoyed every single second with the fragrance, I immediately decided to buy it.

First of all, I think that the fragrance has been minimally reformulated and has gained in depth compared to the past. But there is no exact information about it. Can be a matter of pure sensation.

What is there to say about the scent:
It simulates a smell of the poppy flower, which does not exist per se. That's a great idea. Nevertheless, Alberto Morillas has succeeded very well.
The base of the fragrance is warm, cuddly and in my opinion also creamy. The composition of musk, patchouli, vanilla and amber gives this rather floral fragrance an immense depth and durability. One has at least 8 hours of intense pleasure with the fragrance
The base ensures that the floral heart notes can unfold fantastically. Together they form a unique constellation that you won't find in any other perfume. Neither the rose, nor the mimosa, nor the camellia are individually recognizable. They create a perfectly harmonious overall picture. The fruity and spicy top notes lychee and ginger give the fragrance a great lightness and fruitiness in the first few minutes, but these are quickly displaced by the heart and base notes.

Conclusion: I like to reach for the Flower by Kenzo. Especially now in autumn and winter, it is a floral fragrance that offers more than the lightness I would like for spring or summer. Nevertheless, it is not so worn down that one could not wear it in spring or summer. So it is a great allrounder for all seasons.
I see the fragrance more during the day, but with the right outfit it is also suitable for going out.
For me one of the most diverse floral fragrances.


PS: By the way, the sister L'Elixir is also fantastic and a great flanker. Take a sniff if necessary. Flower by Kenzo fans will like this one too.

I had received the fragrance as a sample and tested it extensively this summer.
One has to say that the freshness of the apple and lemon notes almost knocks you out. It is a fragrance that is very uniquely fresh and fruity at the same time, that it is very well recognizable as a signature scent. You can recognize this scent among thousands!

I find the Sillage very good for such a fresh scent and also the shelf life of one of the Freshies is very good!

Nevertheless, I would really only use the fragrance in summer, but I think it is less suitable for other seasons. If then still rather in the office than everyday scent.

Nevertheless, I will definitely get it next year. :)

So I don't recognize details in the scent. But the entire sweet combination is breathtaking. It's like floating on a big sweet cloud.

Many people rave about the great durability, I can understand that. The Sillage is there too, but I only smell the scent on myself for the first few minutes, after that I only perceive it when a breeze catches me.
