Via Camerelle
This fragrance opens with a blast of mixed citrus notes. First I smell the lemon the most; then it is balanced by the orange note. It is a fresh scent, the citrus being creamy, not tangy. At this stage, very close to the skin, I smell the flowers faintly underneath, just waiting for the head notes to disappear. The body notes are slightly salty sheer white flowers. From this bouquet the strongest one seems to be the jasmine note. I have to add that throughout the fragrance a certain citrusy touch remains. The dry down is a musky amber note, quite powdery, but not too sweet. Lasts for nearly 8 hours on my skin.

Opens with greenish notes reminiscent of the smell of undergrowth after a rainstorm. Very fresh and aromatic this fragrance is unlike most Profumum Romas I have tried before since it is airy and not sweet at all. It is however, far too linear for my taste and it bores me soon after application. The scent changes a bit halfway through its development, becoming drier and woodsier once the pepper takes center stage.

This fragrance starts with a fruity floral accord; the citrus notes are sweet and crystalline. No note is jarring; they are a delicate bouquet of well-behaved notes, like a soft summer wind breezing through a well-tended Mediterranean garden. As the fragrance progresses, it gets sweeter and veers more towards the fruity aspect, passion fruit dominating the body. The dry down is woody with a hint of something fruity, almost like melon. Although linear and not long-lasting, this fragrance is wonderful to wear in summer. Lasts for roughly 4 hours on my skin.

Vitriol d'Œillet
This fragrance opens with a (genetically) engineered carnation accord. I see its typical spiciness and sweet creaminess, but a brutally synthetic fruit contains the floral like a straightjacket. The resulting accord smells like the German hard candy Gletschereis: fruity, minty, spicy and above all sugary. It is not bad per se, just not at all what I expected after reading the press release and analysing the scent's name. This carnation is not an angry thug, but rather a (pitiful) mutant. This of course matches the fragrance's tag line which references Robert Louis Stevenson's Dr. Jekyll. On my skin the development is rather simple: the notes gradually burn out and the scent becomes weaker and weaker as it progresses. The dry down reveals a pleasant woodsy-musky base accord, almost like fruity sandalwood. In fact I like this stage the best and I would wear Vitriol layered to mask the opening only to enjoy the dry down. I think Voyage d'Hermes would work well. Truth be told, I see a violently pungent green note as I spray the fragrance, but this effect never reaches my skin so to me I does not count. Lasts eight hours on my skin.

Vol de Nuit Évasion
This fragrance opens as a spicy floral - though rich it is not cloying at all. At first I see luminous and dry floral notes which are later partially replaced by creamier, almost vanillic sweet notes. This appears to be the heart accord since the scent does not change from there on. Subtle touches of spices, flowers and wood add zest to the melange of warm vanilla and amber notes. Undoubtedly pretty, it is not particularly creative or daring scent. The dry down is mainly comprised of warm woodsy notes with a faint trace of vanilla. Lasts more than six hours on my skin.
