A modern take on Neroli
Classic Neroli fragrances just don't really want to fit a younger person, that must be due to the granny association and 4711, a curse so to speak, made in Germany. What a pity, because basically I like this note very much.

The new flanker from Bulgari could help here. The face of the advertising campaign is a 33-year-old model named Nick Bateman, known through Instagram and various other social media. If you stick this guy on your poster, it must be a modern fragrance, and that despite Neroli?

The answer is clearly yes! Alberto Morillas has created a youthful Neorli fragrance here, which in my opinion can be worn without any problems in one's mid-twenties, upward compatible of course.

Immediately after spraying on you get this juicy Neroli freshness, which in combination with the bergamot, however, is clearly tamed, which in turn makes this modern twist, very beautiful!
The further course proves to be very gentle, the term "woody amber" describes this almost perfectly. All in all, this is a very bright, fresh and juicy fragrance.

As far as the performance is concerned, not much can be expected here, logically, as there is no dark wooden base. The cirtische freshness lasts about 2 hours and changes at the end into a creamy amber wood, very gently coming along. On the skin I could thus achieve a durability of about 6 hours.

The only point of criticism: I would have liked a darker wood note, which is exactly what I already criticized with Wood Essence back then. But okay, you wanted to target the mainstream and the younger audience. So comparisons to Ferraris Bright Neroli or Neroli Portofino are not really useful here.

In summary, I think Bulgari's Wood Neroli was the best designer release in 2019. At that time I was desperately looking for a modern Neroli fragrance that I could wear, and it was just right.

The symbol of a long lasting friendship
Yes I know, uncomplicated and fresh, even synthetic fragrances have a hard time on a platform like Parfumo. One has already smelled everything and tends to give the best marks to the high-quality and unique niche fragrance.

You can argue about quality and craftsmanship, but at the end of the day there is an absolutely indisputable law: it says that only favours make you beautiful.

Before I explain why I like Lacoste Blanc so much, I would like to take a break and talk about my fragrance philosophy.

I am sure that many perfume enthusiasts closely link fragrances with emotional events or life stages of past times. This scent here describes a wonderful time, namely the summer of 2012, when I had just finished my bachelor's degree and had to wait almost a whole year for my master's degree. A year full of fun, friendships and party excesses followed. I remember exactly when I got a Lacoste gift box from my parents at Easter, which among other things also contained this white one. WoW, it immediately inspired me, invigorating and fruity, associations with freshly washed, white laundry could not be denied here. The very next day my best friend told me about this scent. He liked it so much that he had to buy it directly as well.

Almost 8 years later I already own my 4th bottle of Lacoste Blanc and I must admit, it will never leave my fragrance collection. My best friend, by the way, sees it the same way, it has remained his favourite scent until today. An uncomplicated yet unique and fresh floral fragrance with which you will certainly receive many compliments.

But what is much more important for me: this fragrance stands for an unforgettable summer and a long-lasting friendship that continues to this day. Times I remember with pleasure.

the bergamot benchmark
With citric scents, it is inevitably such a love-hate relationship. They soothe our heated minds in summer and stimulate the senses, but unfortunately they don't last very long. After a few hours the magic is usually over and the molecules say goodbye to our skin.

Dior Homme Cologne is no exception. On the contrary, because of the simple and citrusy scent pyramid, it quickly becomes clear that the fragrance cannot last long.

It's a shame, it smells so incredibly authentic and grandiose. I had actually stored it in the fridge in summer and then sprayed it on in the scorching heat, fresh out of the shower. WoW, what an experience! As if I were to cut open an iced lemon or bergamot, absolutely natural and without frills.

First of all: this fragrance is an EdT, so the term cologne is just chosen. I think I don't even have to mention that the performance of Dior Homme Cologne is almost negligible, especially when sweating occurs in summer, the citric refreshment on the skin lasts less than an hour. All this would not be so bad for me, if one would not have to deal with this price, which is too high in my eyes. 110 Euro for a little water, which I have to spray constantly in the summer heat, is already a little high. For your information: I have used this fragrance maybe 3 times in summer and already used 25 ml of it

That's why I come to the conclusion that Dior Homme Cologne is more of a benchmark for me, a collector's item to put on the shelf. One likes to smell the bottle, spray it in summer and enjoy the magnificent fragrance, but this whole story is not really practical in my eyes.
Honestly, which of us carries our scent in our pockets and sprays it when needed? Then there would be the so-called travel atomizers, but do I want to laboriously decant my Dior fragrance? I don't know. Me, not so much.

Blue herb mix
A bright blue sky while I hear the wind blowing through the pine trees in the background. The mild spring lets the ground under my feet shine in a splendid green, I feel comfortable, pure and uncomplicated. I don't want to attract attention today, I don't want to seduce anybody, no. I just want to enjoy my walk through this beautiful Mediterranean landscape and breathe in the cool sea air.

I am surprised, my trip goes meanwhile already nearly 7 hours. I didn't think I'd been on the road that long. But that may be due to these gaudy lavender fields, or to the beautifully shaped Italian pines?

Sometimes a fragrance doesn't have to be complex or unique, because as long as it evokes unique moments and memories in you, it has achieved its goal. That's the kind of scenery that goes through my head when I spray Artisan Blu. It is uncomplicated and fresh, but at the same time it has something very natural, even nature-loving about it. You won't find a classic designer synthetics and bubblegum sweetness here, at least that's my opinion. What makes the fragrance so great for me, however, is the herbal mix in the fragrance pyramid.

I don't have any problems with durability here. As I describe above in my little story, this fragrance keeps on me well 7 or more hours. Of course, it is always close to the skin, but here you can confidently apply a few extra sprayers to improve the shelf life.

For me a cheap and great designer fragrance from the Artisan series

The mature big brother.
I bought this fragrance almost at the same time as Layton in spring, driven by various Youtube videos and top marks on Parfumo and Co. After wearing it twice and testing it, I had almost written it off again and put it aside, but more about that now.

While in the opening he resembles the Layton with regard to the fruity oriental sweetness, the dark wood notes are added right at the beginning, which are completely missed in Layton due to its unisex character. In trivial terms: fruity sweetness with a more complex wood character. That's exactly how the scent was described and that's exactly how my nose perceives it. I don't want to recognize single scents from the pyramid here explicitly, but my nose is not trained enough for that either.

I don't want to go into the course of the fragrance at this point, several previous speakers have already described this very well, rather I would like to report on my experiences and experiences with this fragrance.

At first I wrote that I had almost written off this perfume again. After I bought the scent on a Saturday in spring, I had to try it out the same evening and wore it for a hot clubbing night. Oh man, that was a mistake! Because in combination with sweat and a humid environment, the scent on my skin has unfolded a very animalistic note, which I sometimes simply found unpleasant with its sweetness. A little bit disappointed I applied it again one day later after a shower, I just didn't want it to be true that I don't like it so much on the skin. And again the same experience: I was outside in the spring sun, slight sweating came into play and I just didn't like the scent in its course.

I was disappointed when I put him aside and told myself that you would try him out again in winter, as he is also rather a scent for the cooler days. That's exactly what I did and TADAA, he works in a cold environment or ambience quite differently and unfolds for me all his splendor. I wore it yesterday at a Christmas market, wrapped in an odorless lotion and the scent just blew me away. The tasty sweetness in combination with the dark woods on a rustic Christmas market, while the smell of cinnamon and mulled wine in the distance rounds off the ambience. A beautiful experience, which will remain in my memory.

And I mean, that's exactly why we wear perfume. It triggers emotions in us and reminds us of beautiful moments we once experienced.

To cut a long story short: great perfume, but it has to be adapted to a certain situation.
