Dr. Beninga and my rosy hospital room..
I can't hold on any longer; since I will never forget this story and remember it often, I'll let you share in my story ;-)

It was 2003, I had to go to the hospital because of a foot surgery. Besides, I had 2 small children and was with my husband in separation. I already had a friend, whom I had met in an establishment.
The stay in the hospital was only 10 days, but was very adventurous.

In my toilet bag ended up except for the normal care stuff of course one or two fragrances. Without perfume also does not go in the hospital. Anyway, I had Roses and More with me.
After I had the operation behind me always came the ward doctor purely and ask after the well-being. The foot always had to be re-bandaged too. He had also been the surgeon, I just hadn't recognized him properly in the operating room because he had his mask and cap on.

One day he opened the door and the first thing he said was, Oh what smells so good in here? That was so cute. By the way, I thought Dr. Beninga was exceedingly attractive and cute. Especially in his white coat.
His face very friendly, with glasses, very educated and very caring.

He was so sweet that he personally re-bandaged my foot every day and if it was too tight even once, he started all over again.
I must confess that I already had a crush on him ;-D

Had my Roses and More sprayed on whenever I knew he was still coming in. I think he loved it and was willing to do a nurse's job because of it, or he just thought I was so great. I don't know.

It is, in my memory, one of the most beautiful, lovely rose scents I know. Very understated, almost shy, but still not quiet.
A rose that is finely powdered and with a little citrus knows exactly what it wants. She wants to beguile. And that's exactly what she did.

8 months later. exactly on Christmas Eve, a nondescript gentleman in PLUS approaches me in my town and asks me if I still know who he is ;-) He wishes me Merry Christmas and gives me a cute look. Me like this, Dr. Beninga? He's like, Yes! I had a big fat smile on my face and to this day I don't understand why I didn't ask him if we could meet privately sometime.

In retrospect, I haven't found him again anywhere. Nor about the name in the city, nor about the hospital. There I waited too long with the search, however.

Some things in life I don't understand, but the magic of Roses and More is obvious!

I have now ordered it again 18 years later so I can travel back in time.

The 80s and how a fragrance is always remembered
Back then, around 1986, it started when I and my girlfriend were making the discos unsafe. We were only 14 years old, but we were allowed to go to the Disco 2000 on Sunday afternoon. There in the dark with the disco light you didn't notice that it was still light outside. Not only our favourite music was played there, but there were also some older guys sitting at the bar or standing around on the dance floor. Since my girlfriend had 2 older brothers, we knew some of them. Anyway, we got so close to each other during the greeting that I was able to inhale a full blast of scent every time. There was cowboy boot jacket time and mullet with or without perm. Sunbed tan, a lot of jewellery and of course mega moderate perfume. Since then Azzaro has stuck with me. The guy who wore it was also mega attractive. In my fantasy this fragrance stands for a perfect, well styled guy who wants everything and gets everything. A pretty boy and an ass at the same time.
There's a macho touch in there, but I like it a lot. It smells so beautifully bergamot-like innocent and combines with leather, wood and its angularity into pure masculinity. I still love this fragrance very much. Not only because it reminds me of the past, but because I have the feeling that I can go back to 80 every day if I want to!

Deep Red is Steffi
I got to know this fragrance 5 years ago during my job as a receptionist in a steel construction company.
We were there about 60 people in the administration. One was responsible for distribution, the other for bookkeeping and I was the receptionist.

Steffi was my colleague from the accounting department, a totally strong-willed girl with overblown proportions, not fallen on her mouth. Her heart was at least as big as her butt. She had that certain something. No one would have contradicted that so easily, because there was still something psychological in her that corresponded to the truth.

A girl who spent her free time with her family at various fairs. She had both in her blood; the numbers of the company and the popcorn in the bag. She was as quick-witted on the fairground car as she was at work.
She loved perfumes as much as I did and that was also our point where we found each other.
Every morning the same spectacle:
The one who first came in through the big entrance door was first greeted with love and then came the cloud that opened behind you. Then later it was said how great or blatant a scent came across.
When I first smelled Deep Red, I thought wow, I've never experienced anything like this before. A high feeling of stimulation in the pineal gland.
A kind of "Come closer and enjoy me" and then again "get lost I don't want to see you".
The form of opposites is so incredibly strong.
I smell a certain flower very strongly, but I don't know what her name is. On the other hand, I smell delicate, caressing flower stems in the round dance, which stand like families in a row, which together make such a beautiful bouquet, that I absolutely want to call it my own.

Deep Red is much more than a Hugo Boss perfume. It is a statement for the tender, responsible woman who has her life fully in her hands and yet knows how to enjoy it.
It lasts very long: about 8 - 10 hours at normal dosage; about 8 sprays in all directions. ;-)

I think it's a special species in the perfume world because it's not comparable.

The funny thing is, when I first smelled him, he didn't seem sweet to me, but rather a little bit subtle and with a clear line. I only noticed the soft creaminess and not the sweetness that is there at the beginning.

A great fragrance for many moments in life!

Lovely Turkey and innocence in a glass bottle
It starts with the word sweet, because this fragrance has no corners or edges at all to disturb you. No, that's not why he's boring at all. On the contrary.
The feeling as if one were in a fairytale world of flower gardens and in a world in which everything consists of Orient.

Just like the bottle with the beautiful crescent moon lid. It contains exactly what I had in mind for a Turkish scent. I like to go on holiday to Turkey and there I always smelled these very flowery, spicy hedges, which can be found in every corner. I don't know if anyone knows what I mean My favorite region is Fethiye. It stands for mountains, sea, beautiful smells, the lightness of being, the small town where everyone seems satisfied.

The kind of seafarers who earn their living there with day trips with the whole family. As they sail the beautiful bays, they grill delicious fish and the sailors' wives prepare delicious food. In between you have a little chat and drink wine. In between you just jump overboard and pee into the water. ;-)

The traditional Turkish potato salad is the best. I could ride on one of these boats every day and hang my brain that thinks too much of a hook anyway. In this time just let the soul dangle and let the whole event run transcendently beside my normal track.

Ozbek is pure innocence to me. A treasure that hardly anyone knows. When I spray it on me comes directly the clenched load of flowers from 1000 facets and 1001 night. So benevolently warm and balsamic. Bright and full of life. It doesn't change. He stays the same.
What I like the most is the ambience in the background. For an eau de toilette, it's totally long-lasting. There's still the perfume and the extrait. I'd like to try that again.

It lasts about 6-7 hours. I think that's enough for a short trip to Turkey. ;-D

Ice cold bouquet of flowers
I first owned White Diamonds at the age of 20 and my mother gave it to me for my birthday. She already knew then how much I liked perfume. ;-)
I really liked it then and the bottle knocked me out. Especially the lid with the stones or the diamond replica.

The first seconds after the spraying shot immediately flowery round, possibly mixed with a slight bitterness. The warmth of the skin absorbs this fragrance immediately and transforms it into a total work of art within a few minutes. After about 5 minutes I don't smell anything of the initial bitter anymore, it's more as if this note was necessary to make the flowers look cold. I don't know exactly, but it could be bitter orange.

Cool and fragrant we continue into the 2nd section after about 20 minutes. It doesn't take long for him to develop into a heart. There is a bouquet of all the flowers mentioned in the air and slowly I notice that the rose is approaching.

The shelf life is so good that it lasts loosely 8-10 hours.

I wonder how they managed to mix the coolness with the flowers.
Normally, the cold makes odours freeze.
Chemically, however, things are quite different here.

This perfume is so beautifully different, especially and despite the abundance of the many flowers so beautifully unsweet, full-bodied and characteristic. I'd recognize it among millions of other perfumes.

Until recently, I didn't know at all that there was an eau de parfum in the similar bottle.
I had bought it cheaply on the Internet and was very curious about the difference.

The concentration in the EDP is definitely warmer. Here the typical cool effect is missing, but there is a concentrated load of flowers inside and overall it looks a bit stronger. The strength is not related to the shelf life, because they both hold loosely a whole day, - it is more the intensity of the bouquet and possibly a slight honey note, which could be present in the EDP.

The end of the EDT is still cool, but mossier and earthier, the EDP more woody and balsamic.

I love both of them and hope that they will remain with us for a long time to come.
