Promising moonlight causes restless sleep
My second Pana Dora!

The bottle alone makes this house super interesting and so I hope that a fragrance will appeal to me.

"Imperial Wood | Pana Dora" was unfortunately too boring for me, as there are already far too many fragrances in this direction and now I was finally able to test one of the most hyped fragrances, namely "Moonlight | Pana Dora"!

The start of "Moonlight | Pana Dora" is really successful.
The opening begins with a spicy and fruity start.
The fruitiness is generated by the plum and the peach and the spiciness is due to the tobacco and this is underpinned with a slight smokiness of musk and a slight note of chocolate. WELL DONE!
It also has a slightly dusty/powdery effect, which doesn't make the fragrance any worse, on the contrary, it fits the name perfectly!
Heavy and dark and at the same time light, powdery and slightly mysterious. Just like the moon!

But over time, the initial enthusiasm fades and the fragrance transforms into a mixture of two scents that don't appeal to me at all.
But it is also precisely because of this transformation that I can understand why this fragrance is so popular and why it has succumbed to a certain amount of hype.
Because it reminds me of a mixture of "Baccarat Rouge 540 (Eau de Parfum) | Maison Francis Kurkdjian" and "Angels' Share | Kilian" and these fragrances or this direction is not my cup of tea at all, unfortunately :-( Nevertheless, these fragrances are very popular with the masses and so I can well understand that "Moonlight | Pana Dora" is well received by many or just serves a certain hype.

Nevertheless, I find the composition much better than the two fragrances mentioned above and for me also much more pleasing, but still not my cup of tea.

Towards the drydown, this certain tobacco note paired with a little honey, a good breeze of vanilla and cedarwood remains, which again is not exciting but quite acceptable!

Unfortunately, this Pana Dora won't convince me either, so I'll probably keep searching and hope that one from this house will appeal to me, as I find these bottles simply indescribably beautiful.

To be continued...

The somewhat mainstream but also disappointing Zoologist
My third Zoologist and I have to say that this house goes to extremes and it seems that when they create something, they do it right, regardless of whether it's mainstream or appealing to the masses, the brand doesn't seem to care
Of course, this is very special, but you can tell and I have to say that every fragrance I have tested from the house so far has been a real experience, except this one!
Since "Penguin | Zoologist" is the latest or most recent release from the house, I hope they don't go in a different direction now than I remember.
Because for me, Zoologist stands for bold paths and very interesting and damn special fragrances.
Many will not like them, but people will want to experience them and only a few will probably buy them.
But of course you also have to look at the financial side and if a house doesn't sell any products, well then the chance of survival in this mass of fragrances that are being thrown onto the market is difficult.
So I also understand this creation on the one hand.

I didn't explicitly look for the sample but received it as a bonus, but I was still curious to see what the company would come up with again and what experience would hit me this time.

The beginning is slightly spicy and above all fresh and aquatic. The description of the notes lists air and ice accords and that's very apt. It really reminds me of a cold morning in front of the Igloo :-D
Of course, the cold is missing, but the impression still exists due to the fresh and aquatic notes with the slightly spicy nuance.
However, I also have faint memories of "Cool Water (Eau de Toilette) | Davidoff" but I'm not so sure anymore, as this fragrance hasn't been under my nose for a very long time.

Shortly after the fresh start, a slight peppery note is added and it also becomes more mossy.
So views actually a good fragrance but not as challenging as you know it from the house and since such fragrances are also not my DNA I would say the fragrance is good but just not mine.
Nevertheless, I think it will appeal to more people than others from the house.

After about 10min. a smokiness joins in, I guess it's the musk paired with a minimal woodiness.

The progression remains the same, it just balances itself out better and becomes softer but stays that way until the end.
The suede note hardly plays a role, but drydown is only minimally, but really only minimally perceptible in the background.
On the one hand good, because suede is not my thing at all and on the other hand a pity because it would give the fragrance that certain "experience", which in turn would suit the house.

Durability and sillage is solid! Very good for a fresh aquatic fragrance.
But as I said above, unfortunately not my DNA at all.

A slightly different summer fragrance
I am currently in the process of testing all the fragrances from Sora Dora and I have to say that Sora Dora really do a good job
Of course there are fragrances whose direction you don't like, but the bottom line is that the quality and the "style" are simply great. So far at least!

"Brocéliande | Sora Dora" has already totally convinced me and I had to buy it immediately.
"Mandorle | Sora Dora" was a well-created fragrance in itself, but it doesn't quite match my DNA.

Now I recently took a closer look at "Greasque | Sora Dora" and I have to say I don't quite understand the poor ratings and opinions.

Of course it is not a "mainstream" fragrance or a fragrance that is very hyped in the social media, but for me, after so many tests of some fragrances, the fragrance was something pleasantly new and different, finally!
No nuance or inspiration from fragrances that are very much and often in circulation anyway.

About the fragrance:

"Greasque | Sora Dora" is very deeply minty. Not this menthol mint but really a natural mint and also very gruesome green.
The start really reminds you of grass with this natural mint note.
Shortly after the single, grassy start, the mint continues to dominate but this time with a very authentic basil note with a small nuance of bergamot.

A slightly woody note is added over time and also becomes stronger and stronger.
Unfortunately, I tested the fragrance in January in the cold, but I think this fragrance is much better in summer, as it seems to be perfect for summer or at least warmer days.

Over time, the fragrance becomes spicier and the clove note is clearly recognizable.
Nevertheless, the main protagonist remains basil with a subtle mint note.
The pepper also slightly tickles the nose.

The scent reminds me a lot of certain organic chewing gums and I can understand why some people think it reminds them of Wrigley's Spearmint, but I find that the scent is not as artificial as the chewing gums in question, but rather more natural, like organic chewing gums

Unfortunately, the fragrance quickly becomes milder and becomes very close to the skin and not so perceptible.
Unfortunately after about 3 hours.
Nevertheless, it remains perceptible and one recognizes that the fragrance is slightly more fruity and also another slightly different spicy note is added. I guess it's the muscat saline note, unfortunately I'm not so sure about that.

The scent changes again for the drydown and the caramel note comes out well paired with a dark woody note. The main players from the beginning are barely perceptible and although it is still slightly perceptible, the radiance is really very very low to barely perceptible.
At the end, a certain "charred wood note" remains, but in a nice way :-D

I find this fragrance really very successful and also the fragrance progression is given and very pleasing.
It really is a dream for the summer.
The only drawback, unfortunately also a very big one, is the sillage. The fragrance radiates very, very badly and also the durability is such a thing. It lasts well and long, but you have to look for the fragrance to recognize it and perceive its progression as described above.
Maybe it's different in summer, but during the test it was really miserable.
Nevertheless, I'm thinking about getting this one, because this fragrance is simply something different and also really a very successful fragrance that sprays a wonderful fresh, green mint kick on warm days, which could be brilliant.

So let's wait and see how it turns out in summer.

The name says it all...
My first contact with this house is the fragrance "Night Flyer | Olympic Orchids Artisan Perfumes" and without knowing what to expect I tested it.

The name is so appropriate and the scent is strongly reminiscent of a bat, the only question is who wants to smell like a bat? Only a vampire or Batman would come to mind :D

At the beginning there is only a strong alcoholic note, but this fades very quickly and you get a resinous, wet earthy note. A slightly woody note radiates in the background and combined with the remaining alcoholic beginning, the fragrance is initially more reminiscent of a medicine or a medicinal cream for muscle relaxation or something similar

The start is very intense and not at all mine, but as always, wait and see and drink tea :-)

The earthy note becomes more and more intense and it is really incredible how this fragrance reminds you more and more of a damp, wet cave and underneath you is a damp, wet, slightly boggy earth.
Bat cave sends its regards!

With time, a certain sweetness is added and the banana note is also recognizable far in the background and reinforces the fruit accords!
But the most dominant impression is of wet, damp earth.

The leather note also becomes increasingly dominant and lends the fragrance a certain animalic quality, and now the impression of a bat in its habitat comes into its own.

So it is really interesting and exciting to smell a fragrance that reminds you so strongly of an inhabited bat cave, yet I keep asking myself the question, who wants to smell like that? Not me defnitv. I'm not a vampire and I'm not Batman hatching a plan in the Batcave :-D

For all dark, gloomy lovers and those who want to smell particularly different, it may be an interesting fragrance, because you will definitely stand out, just not in a positive way
As I said, who wants to smell like a wet, damp bat cave where there's even a bat around?

Towards the drydown, the fragrance becomes much more pleasant and reminds you, even if far away, of the scent of "Au Coeur du Désert | Tauer Perfumes" in the heart notes.

Longevity and sillage are really good, but in my eyes it's rather fatal for such a fragrance that it radiates so well and lasts so long :-D

So if you like to feel like a bat and like to feel comfortable in dark, damp caves, this fragrance is just right for you!

A summer fragrance with a really good shelf life
The house of Gritti is known, at least by me, as a house that seems to create summery scents.

i was allowed to test "Pomelo Sorrento | Gritti" briefly, but I wasn't blown away by it. But I also have to say that I didn't really test the fragrance intensively. Nevertheless, it didn't strike me as a fragrance that would appeal to me.
I had only tested "Arancia Ambrata | Gritti" intensively, but that didn't really appeal to me either and now this candidate came under my nose.

At the beginning, you are greeted by a lovely, fresh start that is also slightly creamy at the same time.
You immediately get summer vacation vibes! Lying under a palm tree, the sun shining and enjoying life. Pure summer vacation! Summer, sun, sunshine!
It's slightly creamy, citrusy and as silly as it sounds, the fragrance is reminiscent of a palm leaf.
Unfortunately, I hardly notice the almond note, but the vanilla note is perceptible in the background and rounds off this whole summery flair completely well.
Pure summer! Really a pleasure so far and makes you want to go on summer vacation!

Over time, a sweetness is added, but it is not as annoying, unbearable or even penetrating as with other fragrances
Some note makes the fragrance super delicious and therefore special. but unfortunately I can't define exactly what it is, whether it's the creamy notes or tiare, I can't say for sure.
The fragrance still radiates the citrus paired with a creaminess, but a minimal floral note is now also added and all this is supported by a wonderful vanilla note.
Really super successful! Up to this point, the fragrance really is a wonderful summer scent!

Over time, a certain solar note is added and this is the first damper for the fragrance, because it is annoying and also pungent.
But in the fresh air, this note tends to fade into the background, yet overall the fragrance is just great and the fact that it is still perceptible after about 2-3 hours is surprisingly good for a summer fragrance, especially when you compare it with the other summer fragrances from the house that I have been able to test so far.

Over time, the fragrance becomes creamier and creamier and now dominates more and more. The citrusy notes also recede more. But the creaminess still gives you a light summer vibe.

In the drydown, the fragrance now becomes minimally smoky and the sandalwood note gives the fragrance a gentle finish. The creaminess is still there but now rather subtle.
I was also surprised that the fragrance really lasted all day on my skin.
Really impressive for a summer fragrance and damn rare.

I think the fragrance is super successful and this one solar note was the only negative thing I noticed, but fortunately it tends to fade into the background in the fresh air.
But the performance for a summer fragrance is really excellent and in combination with the fact that it is really well made and also smells great, I hope it will move in with me for the summer at the latest.

Oh, I'm already looking forward to summer :-)))
