Beautiful sunny opening...
Overall I consider M. Micallef scents to be some of the best blends on the market, however, Pomelos is quite a let down for me. The opening is beautiful and sunny with sparkling grapefruit shining through. This uplifting opening is gone in an instant though and is replaced by the harshness of the other citrus so I find it bitter and biting. As the scent moves through different stages, the bitter citrus turns to a very strong soapiness on my skin, followed by a dry-down stage of a strong hairspray vibe. Eeeek!

I would imagine others could wear this just fine if you don't have issues with citrus going to strong soap. Pomelos is an easy pass for me - darn.

Like a fine wine, it gets better and better...
In the Dior perfume line-up, Dolce Vita has to be one of my absolute favorites. It just meshes so well with my chemistry that I've used 1/2 a bottle of this beauty since May-2013! The sweet fruitiness in the heart, combined with the sandlewood and vanilla in the base makes this a hit for me. I smell a lot of apricot and peach in this as well. I personally don't get a lot of the floral in the opening notes, and overall I believe this is such a well blended perfume that nothing stands out and shouts more than any other note.

As the day wears on and it grows warm outside, Dolce Vita gets a little kick from the heat and reignites itself on my skin. Oh! I do love this perfume!

Where is the coconut?
I was so excited to get my samples of this scent. I love tropicals and especially the coconut aspect in them. Coccobello is an odd one and hard for me to love. On my skin, it's a salty, green mess. Not one pin drop of coconut could be found shining through at all. I normally like both salty and green, but somehow this one is just off for me. It's almost bitter smelling really.

Sultry & Unique
7 Billion opens with the strong medicinal smell of amber that dissapates after a few minutes. The composition is very resinous along with tonka bean and vanilla. There is a smokey, leathery vibe to this as well. I adore this scent somehow, even though it isn't typical of what I generally go for. Like most of the CB Perfumes I've tried, this one sits close and doesn't project in a big way. This scent is at it's best on a warm day when the resins and vanilla blossom on the skin.

Silky Goodness
This is a really lovely fragrance and smells to me like it could easily pass as a Guerlain without the hefty price-tag. The raspberry and vanilla easily temper down the LOTV and the end result is a gorgeous composition. It's easy to wear, a definite compliment getter, and great any time of the year. I think it's a bit of an understated/unsung hero type of a perfume and definitely worthy of a sample, especially if you are tired of paying outrageous prices for perfumes that don't last on the skin. It's too bad it is discontinued, but alas there are still some bottles and mini's available on ebay.
