Ambre a Sade is all about strawberries dripping in caramel. This is the fancy dessert on the cart that the waiter brings to the table and presents to the group with a flourish of the hand. The room goes silent as caramel slowly drizzles down the mountain of strawberries. Soon the customers are drunk on the strong strawberry and caramel elixir. The smell of this dessert fills the air for days on end. If you love very strong gourmond fruity scents, then this one is for you, but I'd recommend it be used with a light hand or beware!

That's what I think of the Euphoria EDT bottle. This is a nice little oriental floral with good lasting power. I've been on a quest for the past year to try everything with champaca flower in it and this one doesn't disappoint! I tend to love perfumes with green in them too, and this one opens with lovely green notes and peach. The peach is not as prominent as I wish it were, but you can't have everything I guess. This leans to the soft sexy side, but still I think it's a fine scent for the day time and work.

I'm in love with this perfume. I think it's discontinued - yet I read it's available in Europe. It's increasingly difficult to find, and expensive when you do.There is something about the tomato and florals, along with that lovely basil that is just kick ass. It is fresh, invigorating, and a bit complex - nothing tooth-achingly sweet here. It's summertime in a bottle. It's a hot day in your garden of earthly delight. Oh I hope the House of Ricci has not quit making this beauty. Say it isn't so!

I bought a sample of this after looking at the notes and thinking it sounded interesting. The opening is a rather vibrant and sharp green - I like this, I think to myself. Then after maybe 2 minutes it's all about very loud vanilla and tonka. Reminds me of a very sweet vanilla flavored marshmallow. Soon enough after that, the powder kicks in and now it's a powdery vanilla flavored marshmallow scent. This smell makes me feel a little sick actually. Naturally, it has tremendous lasting power and is hard to wash off. What is YSL thinking here? Definitely not full bottle worthy for me.... heck I won't even finish these samples!

In my quest for trying out the house of Caron, I threw Delire de Roses in my online shopping basket with intentions to send it to a friend who loves all things rose.
I had to try it out first and, Oh. My. Goodness. It was love at first sniff for me. Me - who thought I didn't like perfume with dominant rose in it. I have found my match made in heaven.

Delire is subtle, yet has great projection and longevity, lasting on me all day and into the night. If I get warm, the fragrance blossoms even more. Rose mixed with the lotus and lychee give it a bit of the tropical vibe, and the added lily-of-the-valley gives it just enough of a hint green that makes this entire composition work in a most beautiful way.

For me, it is worth the price-tag and my absolute favorite from the House of Caron.
