The weather is warm, summer is almost there - at least on the northern hemisphere. So, how about a summer scent thread? What are your favorite summer fragrances?

Yes I know, Greysolon, it is maybe not quite fair in an international community to come up with one's own concept of summer.

I really appreciate the seasonal changes. Nature provides different scents each season, and so do the perfumers. I pity those who do not have the seasonal changes at their location.

At my job, I work together with colleagues from India. They only know the difference between rainy and dry season. At the beginning, they could not understand that we were not able to answer their question if we are going to have rain or not in the upcomig weeks.

Back to the topic, here are my summer favorites:

"Millesimé" by Ronaldo Esper, for daytime wear. (I love the citruses and the strong cardamom note)

"XPEC Original", for nighttime wear - a masculine tuberose chypre for hot nights!

"Kenzo pour Homme" - a few spritzes are still best if it gets warmer than 92° F (~33° C)

I dont really rotate fragrances for the seasons. Call me crazy but I usually wear whatever/whenever. Crazy, I know. But I will try to make myself lean more towards seasonal fragrances once in a while. That being the case, I will wear:

Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Toit
Hermes Sur Le Nil
Most of my Jo Malones
Marc Jacobs Rain
Marc Jacobs Biscotti
Marc Jacobs Ginger
Valentino Valentina

Same here... I try to wear more hot weather perfumes during summer but more often than not, I will wear whatever I feel like Smile

My favorite 'summer perfumes' are these:

"DKNY Women"
"Emporio Armani She"
"Infusion d'Iris"
"No. 5 Eau Première"
"Aqua Allegoria Herba-Fresca"
"Thé Vert / Green Tea"
"Covet"
"Un Matin d'Orage"
"Eau du Sud"
"Ninfeo Mio"
"Magnolia Nobile"
"Water Calligraphy"
"L'Eau de L'Artisan"
"Versense"
"Missoni Aqua"

My favorite summer-scents are...
basicly my perfumes.

But since the temperature reached a summery level, I mainly wear
"Colonia"
"Bigarade Concentrée"

I also emptied my (until then quite full) sample of "Eau de Campagne".

I especially love citrus in the summertime.

the Hermès Oranges Vertes
I have an excellent C.O. Bigelow Lemon Blossom cologne (not in db)
Nicolai "Cedrat"
etc....

Of course I wear lots of other stuff, too. But on unbearably hot days, citrus always works for me.

On days like you described, "Encre Noire" works best for me, at least, as long as my sample lasts.

L'Artisan "L'Eau de Jatamansi"
Hermès "Eau d'Orange Verte"
Serge Lutens "Gris Clair"
L'Artisan "Al Oudh"
