YOUR TOP FIVE "BEST OF 2012"

With the end of 2012 approaching, I thought it would be interesting to know what Parfumo members though were the best fragrances of the year. Whether you sampled or purchased them, what were you top five of the 2012 releases?

1. Un Air de Damas Tubereuse, Dorin.
2. Vanille Aoud, M. Micallef.
3. Midnight Oud, Juliette Has a Gun.
4. Freak, Illamasqua.
5. Fracas, Robert Piguet.

All I return to frequently, but there are others equally loved.

If we are talking about only fragrances released in 2012, then these are my Top 5 new releases of 2012 of all the ones I tried...

1)Tzora by Anat Fritz
2)Turtle Vetiver Front by LesNez
3)Linfedele Haiku by O'driù
4)Supercilium by O'driù
5)JMT by O'driù

Honorable mentions to Lauhrum by O'driu and LiquidNight by A Lab On Fire that just got edged out...

Needless to say, I think it was another blockbuster year for Angelo Orazio Pregoni and O'driù.

My top 5 2012 are:

#1: "L'Homme Infini" by Divine

#2: "Myrrhe & Délires" by Guerlain

#3: "Calycanthus Brumae" by Acqua di Stresa

#4: "A*Men Pure Shot" by Thiery Mugler

#5: "Guerlain Homme L'Eau Boisée"

Commercially, nothing has tempted me. I cannot wear synthetic petrochemicals that are like locusts eating the market.

I can't find 5 fragrances released in 2012 that made an impression on me.
I tried several, most were forgettable. The only ones that IMO are worth mentioning are these two:

1) Kiehl's "Vanilla & Cedarwood" - made it to my want list, wouldn't mind paying for it myself
2) Guerlain "Shalimar Parfum Initial L'Eau" - good enough that I swapped for it
