Flavorite, I snapped the ends off of my Blue Carnation nip yesterday. Wow! Cloves galore. Real.... in your face spicy scent.

It's glorious! I have Wichapi to thank (again) for a generous sample. When life really seems like a crapper- I treat myself to a long hot bath with a bar of the Roger & Gallet Carnation Soap and a single spritz of the Blue Carnation...better than therapy!

To the op- yes I am less likely to purchase a discontinued scent.

I recently had a perfume I was "saving". I purchased it only 4 months ago. I found out a few days ago that it had turned. I just don't know how old it was when I purchased it or how it had been stored.

I'm sure some scents age well. My Coco edt seems to smell better with time.

It's such a disappointment to toss a full bottle in the trash.

I still search the flea markets/thrift shops/vintage stores for perfumes. If I can find something at a good price, I'll buy it if I know I'll like it. If I can smell it ahead of purchase, all the better. I don't limit myself to new perfumes at all. I love the thrill of the hunt.

I would still like to try it and find out what I would be missing or maybe not.
