Questions & Answers
How are the averages calculated?
The overall rating of a perfume stems from all reviews submitted by users who have been active in the last 12 months. For a perfume to appear in the top lists, it must have received at least 12 reviews in total.
How should I rate?
Rate only fragrances that you have previously tested. You can give a rating between 0 and 100% for each perfume. Please note that a fragrance can be glamorous even if it doesn't suit or reflect your personal style. Be fair and use extremely hontest ratings. 100% should only be given to absolute top fragrances, while 0% is meant for olfactory disasters.
Giving bad ratings just to move your favorites up in the overall rating is not allowed. Furthermore, willful manipulation and abuse of the ratings can lead to a ban on Parfumo.
What are classifications?
Classifications are meant to classify each perfume based on numerous criteria.
You can vote on numerous characteristics such as occasion, season, target group and fragrance type. Through the many votes of our users, Parfumo can create descriptive diagrams that make the character of a perfume clear at first glance.
What is the shelf life?
The durability describes how long a perfume is perceptible. Some fragrances evaporate after a short time, while others are still present after days. It is, so to speak, the "volatility" of a fragrance.
