My first blog post
in Germany and traveled Europe. Too bad it has been discontinued. I'd like to get my hands on L'Or de Torrente and Nivea EDT, but those will have to wait for a trip to Europe.Right now, two perfumes at the top of my wish list are SJP NYC EDP (How's that for acronyms?! Crazy world we live in.) and Roberto Cavalli Oro. Both are fairly cheap, but I'm running out of space in my closet! hahahaI'll end with one of my other...

Mind the (generation) gap...
when the bucket is about to be kicked. This, and the rather strange thought that a very interesting use of a time machine would be to watch how people interpreted the same term during different time periods. Or at least a term's closest equivalent, since I don't think that "badass" was around when Robert Piguet unleashed his badass Bandit in 1944.So, since I'm famous (or notorious) for speaking about...

"Quiproquo" by Grès, 1976.
Qui Pro Quo" it's an ancient Latin motto, it means: "Swap a thing with another thing". "Quiproquo" was an almost unknown perfume made during the Seventies by a very well-known perfumer, Robert Gonnon, and it was perfectly unisex: feminine and masculine at the same time. In other words, a scent you can swap it. Abstract: Created by... Gonnon, and it was perfectly unisex: feminine and masculine at the same...

Indeed, it sometimes seems as if Creed promotes layering as a way to sell multiple bottles, or perhaps as a kind of middle-class form of bespoke...

Lunch With Roberto
was cordially invited to attend a fantastic luncheon yesterday at Neiman Marcus. The guest speaker was none other than Roberto Ferreira, curator for Creed perfumes. While Roberto harbors a great deal of information about the history and processes of the Creed house, he is also a fragrance aficionado. There was plenty of discussion about Creed's products, but he was also willing to talk...
