...I also feel that this is a more genuine Forum. Somehow it is a more close knitted community somehow.... :)

What's going on?? Why the lifeless forum?
by Dalmajen | Parfumo Community
...Hello! And Welcome! There a plenty of subjects on the forum, and usually if you have asked a question, it gets answered. I think the reviews on here are more important than the forum...but, this is the Christmas holidays now, and people are usually busy with preparations etc., I find most of the forum subjects on Fragrantica, are usually repeated quite a lot, and people sort of get bored with the same subject matter all the time. This is only my opinion, of course, but someone else may have a better answer! :)

FragranceX and testers?
by Dalmajen | Perfumes & Brands
...I have bought many bottles of fragrances from them, no testers though). The only reason I don't purchase from them anymore, is since we have entered the EU, i had to pay large duty tax the last two orders, so I only buy from EU sites now. But, fragranceX products were always fresh, and well packed.

The Mother in law perfume, what is it and how do you respond
by Dalmajen | Parfumo Community
...I never knew my MIL, as she had passed on before I married. I don't think she ever had a chance to wear fragrances, as she lived in a time where they were very poor, and lived in a very primitive old village etc. I am a MIL myself now, and have no Daughters. So, I would like to think that my two DIL can enjoy my love of fragrances. I always purchase for birthdays etc., what they like, and enjoy sharing my samples and new additions to my collection, so they can experience what is new in the world of fragrances...They both love testing my niche choices, and i always like to have perfume discussions with them! As they are both different, I try to make individual testing times for them both.

Guerlain - Shalimar Souffle de Parfum Shalimar Souffle de Parfum - Guerlain
by Dalmajen | Perfumes & Brands
...I have just purchased a large decant of the Initial EDP. It is very nice, and I'm sorry they will discontinue it, as it seems to be very popular. I have both Ode vanilla's..the Mexique, and the Madagascar. I love them both. The bottles, and the boxing is also beautiful! I would love to sample the newest addition! It certainly looks so appealing, the blue color etc.

Bvlgari Jasmin Noir: EDP or EDT
by Dalmajen | Perfumes & Brands
...EDP...because it is longer lasting! As I have a problem with longevity, I always purchase the E d P versions. I love my Jasmin Noir, but it is rather soft. There is a sillage, but it's rather soft and light. I would definitely go for the EDP.

light florientals, please?
by Dalmajen | Perfume Recommendations
...Another lovely summertime floral to try, is Fleurs de Gardenia (2012) by Creed. No citrus in this, and very suitable for the hotter months.

light florientals, please?
by Dalmajen | Perfume Recommendations
...Hi, I have just recently purchased the new Alien Extraordinaire..it is very refreshing, and really lovely! I don't like a lot of citrus either, and this fragrance doesn't magnify the bit of citrus that is in the top notes. The only sad part, for me anyway, is it doesn't seem to last. This could be due to my dry skin, but have to reapply a lot. I bought this blind, as the notes really appealed, and I'm not disappointed, but the longevity could certainly be better! I am hoping it will be stronger I. The hot summer months!

...Just a Warning everyone, or everyone who likes Horror..) Don't read The Troop. It's really revolting! He is trying to be like S. King, but he comes across toooo revolting! Mind you, a teen would probably really like this, but I was a damn fool to buy it, and, an even bigger fool for reading it right to the end! The Troop, by Nick Cutter.

rose orientals, please!
by Dalmajen | Perfume Recommendations
...I can suggest two rose orientals. The first is a wonderful fragrance! It has oud in it, but it is such a well put together scent. Armani Prive Rose D' Arabie. The second may be a bit sweet, as it's actually a vanilla oriental type, but the rose is very pleasant) Mancera Roses Vanille. But, I can't help but mention my very favorite rose, of all times (so far, anyway), but this isn't a real oriental, but a Chypre Floral) Andy Tauer's Une Rose Chypree. Hope this has helped towards your test list! :)
