Best Smoky Burning Wood Fireside Scents
...I don't know what maple leaves smell like, but when you say maple, I think of the syrup and the warm sweet 'cosy' taste. I'm not a fan of sweet scents, but I did get the same warm and cosy vibe from the myrrh in Caron's Parfum Sacré. That one has bad longevity but myrrh is great! There's also Eau d'Italie Bois d'Ombrie if tobacco's still an option. 27

What is Your Favorite Le Labo, Which are you curious About?
...Since any and all feedback is welcome, I gotta say that I'm not a fan of this house because I don't like their musk. I'd focus on scents that are low on musk and that offer something other brands don't offer. 10

Decisions, decisions...
...I haven't smelled them, but all 4 sound intriguing. I don't like liquorice (m.loup) and honey (wwdipis), and I don't know what broom smells like. I would gravitate towards Boisé. It seems like a great thing to have next autumn. Is there one scent that 'temps' you more than the others? 10

Which floral has most scent development?(is the least linear
...hi,I want to order a couple of samples from different categories, including a floral perfume. And I'd like to pick the perfume that has the most scent development, i.e. the one that is the least linear. I like it when the fragrance changes over time :D I'm considering:- Caron "Parfum Sacré"- Annick Goutal "Grand Amour"- d'Orsay "Tilleul (1995)"Which one has the most scent development? Suggestions are welcome! 9

Underappreciated Fragrances - which are yours?
...Have you seen Sahbomnim's review of "Thallium Black"? It's a bit of a YouTube classic ;) link: http://youtu.be/iwq-JpbDKhwI always assumed (and am still assuming) that it is a spice+fruit+sweetness bomb. But when another guy reviewed it in a more serious way, he too said that it was good. I would like to smell it! Here's a spoof of the original review: http://youtu.be/lABrvIWe6vw 6

Which company has done the most damage to the industry?
...L.T.A., this is a fun topic! My vote goes to L'Oreal, because first they invent brilliant stuff and then go on to kill their own 'babies'.As for the sheer amount of bad and boring stuff, P&G gets bonus point from me. 19

Shopping on ebay - any advice
...you date the fragrance through batch numbers, etc) than the only way I have found to know it's age is by the shape of the bottle. That takes some sleuthing! But you can learn over time, at least to get an estimate of the time frame of production. I've seen a business online that claims to be able to do... 19
