EXILED! The stories from Defected Fragrantican Members
by EvaK | Parfumo Community
...Good to see so many known faces here :) I was invited here via facebook, so I had no idea the name was censored even in PMs- how can you censor a name in PMs??? WTF? Someone must feel seriously threatened here. With good reason, obviously.I'm still active overthere in the forum, but there are fewer and fewer threads I wish to participate in. The examples of lame topics & lame answers that Olga gave is the F forum in a nutshell. As for the administrators... erm. what can I say. Sometimes I think they're on certain members' payroll. At first glance it seems to be totally random which threads are being deleted out of the blue and which are not. Who can say anything and who can barely say "hi" before they're booted.. Everything a little bit out of the box is offensive overthere. Some people need a life or some anger management therapy.Well, it's all been said already.Anyway, I've made some great friends at Fragrantica and I learned a lot there as well. My final move form there to here will be a gradual process, but I have no doubt where I will end :)

Scent of the Day
...Olga1780:Because of all the packages he has to dump at the back door! He doesn't even bother to ring the bell anymore.:lol:I moved out to the countryside a couple of months ago, and realized something really funny:The mailman here never knocks on the door and wait for someone to open (the doorbell isn't working, if we have one. Not sure if we do). He just walks right in and leave the packages on the dresser in the hallway :D If I hear him/her I don't even manage to get out there before he's gone. IF I hear it, often those packages just seem to have appeared in the hallway by magic.

Which languages do you speak?
by EvaK | Off Topic
...Apart from my native Danish:Reasonable English (I hope). I understand and read Swedish and Norwegian without a problem.I read German well, understand quite a bit of it when spoken, but I can barely speak it anymore. I think too much about that killer grammar  I read some French and Spanish, a little Italian... and some Dutch. (When you know some English and German, Dutch is not too bad to read). I'm totally lost when I hear it spoken!

Feminine Leather scent
...Cabochard is the most leathery leather perfume I ever tried myself. It opens a bit masculine, but becomes more feminine in about 15 minutes imo. It is, however, a no-nonsense, don't-mess-with-me perfume. There's also Miss Balmain - prominent leather, but more feminine and soft than Cabochard. Then of course there's legendary Habanita which is fabulous and definitely not masculine to my nose. :)(I don't know much about niche, so I can only suggest the mainstreams, sorry about that)

Say hello and/or introduce yourself (if you like)
by EvaK | Parfumo Community
...Hi everyone! I'm Eva, 48 years old, from Denmark. I have 4 children and 2 stepchildren - only 2 still at home though. I'm interested in a vast amount of things, and perfume is very high on the list :) I'm not a connoisseur. I'm not into niche, I don't prowl for vintages, I'm not good at detecting notes or explaining the details in the composition of a perfume. But over time I found out what I like, and that's good enough for me. I heard about this site from a friend I know from another perfume forum, and I really look forward to being here :D
