Autumn dessert fragrances
...KraemdonKathrynA66ItscoralKathrynA66I also love Fall CashmereFall Cashmere and Vanilla Sky (Eau de Parfum)Vanilla Sky Eau de Parfum is very pretty too. I don't really have a lot of desert fragrances. I'm fond of gourmands like HayloftHayloft and PonderosaPonderosa. Kenzo AmourKenzo Amour is fabulous though. Spicy, lactonic rice pudding. Very affordable. You might also like Gold SugarGold Sugar Panne cotta note. I'm not sure if this is still available."Khamrah | Lattafa / لطافة" (some say it's similar to Angels' ShareAngels' Share. I don't know about that, having never tried AS, but Khamrah is a beautiful, spicy gourmand. Veey affordable.Maybe Fior di PaneFior di Pane, which opens on a really beautiful bread note, eventually settling down to soft florals."Khamrah | Lattafa / لطافة" is a lovely, cinnamon heavy perfume, but I wouldn't say it's a dupe for Angels' ShareAngels' Share . I'd say they're more like cousins. It's still a beautiful scent though. I can definitely justify having both since they're different enough, in my opinion.Thank you for the info! I have heard Angel's Share is similar to apple pie. If so, "Khamrah | Lattafa / لطافة" is VERY different from AS! It seems to depend very much on the person. For me "Khamrah | Lattafa / لطافة" has almost nothing to see with Angels' ShareAngels' Share while friends claim they are very similar. Either way, both are excellent responses to the question of the OPThank you very much @Kraemdon and @Mitchcraft for weighing in regarding "Khamrah | Lattafa / لطافة" compared to Angels' ShareAngels' Share! I enjoy Angels' ShareAngels' Share , and am always curious of how "supposed dupes" compare to the OG formulas.I'll have to check out "Khamrah | Lattafa / لطافة" , as it sounds lovely regardless of whether it's a true "dupe" - so I appreciate your recommendation and thoughts! 😊

Anyone else excited for autumn?
by Gourmandgrl | Off Topic
...KathrynA66I am!  I love summer, but autumn is my favorite.  I look forward to the colors.  This year, we're taking a road trip up the East Coast, from St. Louis to DC to Maine, to visit family and take in the foliage.  Other stuff: October blue skies, the crispness of the air, the smells of the woods, of drying herbs and baking, bonfires, trips to some of the local wineries with family and friends, the "Girls' Fat Pants & Soup Party" a friend of mine throws every year, when we all bring different soups, wear pajamas and drink wine.  I'm also looking forward to my husband's birthday and my favorite holiday- Halloween.  I refuse to have anything to do with "pumpkin spice" everything though!  @KathrynA66  I enjoyed hearing your traditions, so many unique and fun activities! I love your soup/pajama/wine party with friends, Halloween is one of my favorite holidays too. But I love everything pumpkin spice-related, so I guess that's where we differ lol! Hope you enjoy your fall foliage trip! 🍁@Jessica02 I agree with you, watching the fall leaves change colors is so stunning - pure magic! I hope you have a wonderful time this fall season too in creating new memories 🍁@Mitchcraft sorry to hear about that, it makes sense given your current lack of warm weather. We are the opposite where I am - triple digit (Farenheit) heat with high humidity, so I'm looking forward to a reprieve. Glad you have a new fragrance to look forward to this fall, always nice to look forward to something!@Tzapan I am with you in enjoying spring too, and agree that it's enjoyable to see all the changes in both seasons! 😊@VieilleDame1 I'm so jealous that you only recently started summer! Northern California has gorgeous weather. What are your favorite summer freshies?@Anamandy so sorry to hear about the Canadian wildfires affecting your air quality and weather where you are - I hope you and your loved ones have stayed safe through it all! 😞 Has any of that cleared up yet for you?@Ringtale I hear you, it can be hard to move into the "darker" or "melancholic" seasons as you said. It's nice to look forward to wearing cold weather fragrances though, and hopefully you enjoy them in the colder months ahead!@Nicolas78 SAD is so difficult to deal with, so sorry. Completely agree that it's better to "wrap up", whereas in the heat there isn't much else you can do to deal with it! @MOONTRIPS lol I get it, my excitement is a bit early! 😂 SAD is definitely not easy, so I'm sorry you have to deal with it - but glad you are able to look forward to Halloween (love it too!) and some of the cooler months.

Help as a new user

...@Frabra88  welcome, we can be new together! 🤗 Yes you can edit reviews by clicking on the "edit" option at the bottom of the review. It's in grey, so it's easy to miss - but you have to be using the web version of Parfumo. (I'm not sure whether the app has this feature - but I remember they said that the app is an "abbreviated" version of the website, so it doesn't have all features that the website does.) Does that help, or are you still having trouble finding it?

...I know it's considered very "basic", but I love autumn so much - it's the season I look forward to most, every year! 😊🍁🎃Is anyone else also excited for autumn? Do you have any favorite autumn-related traditions? What is your favorite part of fall?

Almond/Roasted Almond for fall?
...I love Skylar Fall Cashmere, too - such a good one! 🍁Not sure if you've tried Pacific Silver Moon before, but many love it as another almond fall cheapie. No pronounced cinnamon to my nose, in the way that Fall Cashmere has - but still has a soft, cozy "spice" feel to it:Silver Moon (Perfume)Silver Moon Perfume

Motivation: Mood, Season, Weather or...?
by Gourmandgrl | Perfume Discussions
...KathrynA66GourmandgrlKathrynA66Someone posed a question I find interesting. What is your motivation for choosing a fragrance? Do you use a rotation method? Choose according to the weather/season? Or pick according to your mood?I tend to pick depending on weather and mood. Our annual temperatures range from 100°F/37°C in the summer to 0°F/-17°C, with humidity wildly varying in spring & fall. So, I choose whatever will work in the type of weather we're having *and* which will best suit my mood. I have noticed a lot of fragrances most people wear in winter or fall need a bit of heat and humidity to work for me. Examples: Crystal Noir (Eau de Parfum)Crystal Noir Eau de Parfum and Belle d'Opium (Eau de Parfum)Belle d'Opium Eau de Parfum. Same in obverse. It needs to be cold for me to wear Kenzo Jungle / Jungle L'ÉléphantKenzo Jungle.I love this question! It sounds like you and I both pick our scents very similarly. My fragrances are primarily organized by season and/or category:- spring/summer- autumn- winter/holidays- year-round staples (some soapy/fresh "palette cleansers")- a few one-off categories ("romantic", "Halloween", etc.)- some bedtime-specific scents that I find cozy/relaxing for a nightly unwindSo I usually pick a scent based on my mood, but still within a specific seasonal category and/or time of day (such as the bedtime scents). One exception: I do not always pick based on temps, since where I live the seasons are a bit skewed. Example: our autumns are often very warm, but I still wear fall-specific scents during the fall seasonal timeframe. If I waited until cold weather, I'd be wearing fall scents in the winter - and I prefer keeping my scents specific to the season I'm in, regardless of temp.@Gourmandgrl We do have a similar style, except I emphasize temperature and humidity over season. Our autumn can be very warm, making some fall fragrances too cloying for my taste. Safari (Eau de Parfum)Safari Eau de Parfum is my favorite for late summer and hot fall days. Spring can also be decidedly unpredictable, and I tend to be all over the place with my picks.Totally agree @KathrynA66 - our autumn is hot/warm too, but I still bust out the fall fragrances! And just make sure I'm wearing short sleeves, so I don't feel smothered lol. I know what you mean about spring being unpredictable - I find that my picks are often mixed between winter/spring/summer scents in this season, since there's such a variety of weather in the transition!

Good fragrance to fully understand the Vetiver note?
...This is a great question - there are some notes I've also had a hard time wrapping my head around, too. I know you're looking for vetiver-forward fragrance recommendations, but another way that I've found helpful to really grasp a note is to order a solinote fragrance oil of that particular note - such as, a sample vial of vetiver parfumer's fragrance oil.I know each supplier's vetiver will smell a little different from the next, but it's been a helpful way for me to "isolate" the note for my nose/brain so I know how to better anticipate it in a fragrance. Best of luck to you!

...@KathrynA66  thank you for the quick response, and for taking the time to reply - your response helped me find the delete button, as well as the review button. I appreciate your help! And no worries, maybe someone else will chime in regarding a Parfumo walkthrough - while the UI on this platform is beautiful, I've struggled to find things on my own (such as the delete button, review button, etc.) and would greatly appreciate a visual guide of some sort if it exists. Thanks again! 😀

B&BW Closing Stores & Many Others As Well
by Gourmandgrl | Perfumes & Brands
...Thank you for sharing, I felt concern because I love BBW! But I saw in the article that they are opening 90 standalone stores - so in the end, it sounds like it's just part of growth (and that the number of new stores outweigh the number of closures which is fortunate).I do feel sad thinking of the mall closures, as I love going to the mall and feel so nostalgic whenever I do. I agree that online shopping is great, but there's something about the experience - and the core memories - of shopping in a mall! 🥲
