...I agree with Liviuss, you might opt for something classic like Drakkar Noir Eau de Toilette ( Dakar Perfume Oil ), Pour Monsieur Eau de Parfum or something along those lines.

Amber Favorites?
by Johnjssmith | Perfumes by Note, Accord, Genre
...Without knowing anything more than I did yesterday, I recommend Molecule 02 for a very clean, definitely modern amber, Ambra Aurea for something warmer, thicker and still not at all ambergris-like stinky, and Machrie for fresh, somewhat animalic, mineral amber.Same as before though, knowing more about your tastes would help offering suggestions that make sense for you :p

What are your best performing fragrances?

...A toss up between Supremacy Incense and Full Perfume Oil.Another one I don't own, but that I've tried a couple times, has been Aesthete, check it out if you like leather and balsamic scents.

What are your favourite layering combos.
by Johnjssmith | Perfumes & Brands
...I find Supremacy Incense, which you can easily substitute for Interlude Man, layers splendidly. You can add jasmine to it (Full Perfume Oil), ozonic herbs for a fresher twist (Light Blue pour Homme Discover Vulcano), more gourmand incense (Majd al Sultan)...Anything I've tried worked really well.

What are your favourite Cheapie fragrances

...Many from Ale-Rehab, especially Dakar Perfume Oil, which is what you should get if you're looking for Drakkar Noir Eau de Toilette and don't want to shell out for a vintage bottle.

Soothing Lavender Perfume (Soapy or Refined)
by Johnjssmith | Perfumes by Note, Accord, Genre
...One up for Pour Un Homme de Caron (1934) Eau de Toilette, and I'd add Zino Eau de Toilette, which is a slightly more soapy and lavender-y Beau de Jour Eau de Parfum.

Amber Favorites?
by Johnjssmith | Perfumes by Note, Accord, Genre
...Amber doesn't really have a smell of its own and many manufacturers interpret this note in wildly different ways, so it would be helpful to know what kind of smell you associate to amber, or what amber fragrances you've liked in the past that lead you to look for more.

Workplace friendly unisex/women’s niche perfumes?
by Johnjssmith | Perfume Recommendations
...I recommend Jasmin Angélique, possibly the most realistic jasmine fragrance I've ever tried.Dusita also makes a number of very realistic fragrances based on specific flowers and it would be beyond my memory to list them all, but definitely have a look at the brand's website if you're into photorealistic, evocative flower scents.

Motivation: Mood, Season, Weather or...?
by Johnjssmith | Perfume Discussions
...It's weather first and outfit second for me.I own a number of fragrances which simply wouldn't work well in some seasons, like Acqua di Sale in the dead of winter or Majd al Sultan in mid July, so I can exclude some right away, and then I choose based on outfit, mood and occasion, all of which are generally correlated, which means if I'm going to a formal event and wearing a tuxedo I'll go for a cleaner and less "funky" scent than if I go to a lake-side bar dressed in linen.I've met quite a few people saying they go by mood more than anything though, so it's interesting to see the differences in how everybody chooses what to wear every day!

1 fragrance for the rest of your life
by Johnjssmith | Perfume Discussions
...I've found many interesting fragrances over the years, some of them truly amazing, but if I had to pick one that I could wear all year round it would have to be Terre d'Hermès Eau de Toilette.

Big Jasmine, Where Art Thou?
by Johnjssmith | Perfumes by Note, Accord, Genre
...Jasmin Angélique is by far the most realistic jasmine fragrance I've ever tried, I recommend checking it out if anyone's looking for a life-like picture of the flower. An acquaintance I trust told me "Mélodie de l'Amour | Dusita" is another splendid jasmine scent, and I haven't been able to sample it myself but I have complete trust in them.
