...For the record, I respectfully agree with the point KingPin makes, and had definitely wondered the same thing myself. I understand that there are nuances to the matter, and that there are some folks who will find a way to be offended by even the most trivial of things on review or discussions platforms, but catering to their excessive sensitivities may be stopping some productive and positive exchanges as well. This may be taking a leap, but a little (not too much) repartee may be a good thing for engagement, entertainment, or to stimulate deeper discussion as long as people don't take it too seriously. Like the spice in spicy fragrances. If things get carried away, I suppose there is always the last resort of an OP blocking the bad actor if "confronted"? Maybe an "@" functionality that lets posters and comment makers notify someone if they would like to direct a comment their way? I really don't know. I do understand the rationale behind both the current setup and a more conventional approach; this thread is interesting food for thought.

I learned a long time ago that the fairer sex appreciate it when a man, who already has good core qualities and fundamentals, puts some effort into his appearance, style, and presentation, which of course includes fragrance. My fragrance use mainly revolves around dating, making a positive impression on women I would hope to woo, and making the women in my life happy. If a fragrance puts me in a certain positive mood when I step out, even better! I know I appreciate it when I am in the company of someone who smells great, and it certainly enhances their creative self-expression.I'm currently getting my MBA and hope to purchase some investment properties over the next decade, or at least do my very best along these lines with divine grace. I believe in the value of spirituality and I meditate every day. In these times of Corona, my heart goes out to displaced restaurant workers, and I will be sure to tip generously once we can start going out to dine again. ...I think it is only a matter of time before it gains tremendous popularity across the world. I joined late last year after being interested in fragrances for quite some time and having an interest to learn from others and share in this hobby. Since that time, each month I see more users, more posts, more collaboration, communication, and engagement. You can tell it was created by people who love fragrances and take pride in their site.Part of the issue is that it doesn't show up readily in Google searches, at least here in the States, just yet. There might be some room for search engine optimization (SEO) here, I'm honestly not sure how it works, but a lot of good people are not on here sharing simply because they don't know about it and it doesn't show up readily when they search the web. They are also more prone to "academic" discussions around niche or super high end fragrances, which is all well and good, but there is so much more to the fragrance community at large. There are people who would rather share their joy and practical information about smelling great in the world and creating the right moments and impressions for themselves and people they interact with daily, rather than describing the finer points to death in the catacombs. I would say if fragrance was the business world, these sites are like the aged professors in an esteemed business school discussing arcane theory among themselves and students, and Parfumo is like big time executives closing big deals and making big money out in the real world. There is no comparison.I was sure there had to be something better, and after some digging I came upon our excellent community, where the presentation is very clean, intuitive, and organized. As more and more enthusiasts discover the same, you will see the activity and engagement increase, I am sure of it. The quality of the site speaks for itself.
