...The window! The view from an airplane is so spectacular to me, it never gets old. Flying into LAX at night gives me goosebumps, for instance. Some phenomenal shots here:http://twistedsifter.com/2012/11/seeing-the-world-through-an-airplane-window/I swallow a baby aspirin an hour before takeoff to help prevent clots.Which is worse:Airline loses your luggage, or...Bumpy flight with screaming children near by and airsick passenger in your row?

...Plastic perfume atomizers. The ones I've encountered are so shoddy that the perfume inside evaporates within about six months, and I actually care about the fact that they aren't biodegradable.

Difference in the English and German version

...Hi, Carla. I agree with Fluxit that you need a group of people contributing on a regular basis in order to keep things interesting. A few years ago, we had a great mix of individuals as the result of a mass exodus from another perfume forum, and the International side was a lot of fun back then. As with other hobbies, some people probably lost interest and stopped visiting. I'll make a point to try to be more active on the threads, for whatever it's worth. Thanks for caring enough to broach the topic.

sensual, yet sweet and young floral fragrance
...Gabbymia, you might enjoy "Petite Chérie" by Annick Goutal. It's not a rose soliflore or even rose-centric, but I think it's the type of fragrance you're looking for and includes most of the notes you listed. Also check out "Eau de Charlotte" if you can. It leans gourmand with just enough sweetness to be appealing but not cloying. FragranceNet carries some of the AG line at reasonable prices, as does Beautyspin. For great rose perfumes, you might want to look into Les Parfums de Rosine, which is also sold on Beautyspin. In terms of young, fresh rose scents, that particular house is stellar. I haven't tried their "Diablo Rose" but it seems to have many of the notes you're seeking. Best of luck with your search!

To Dis or Not to Dis

...What a shame, ScentFan. I was hoping this line would be a runaway success, prompting SD to leave Guerlain forever, but I fear it will suffer the same fate as Tom Ford's white musk line.Have you heard any news about Jean-Paul Guerlain's exclusive line? It was all over the perfume blogs last year but I haven't seen any mentions recently.

To Dis or Not to Dis

...I can understand your hesitation, ScentFan. I wouldn't be eager to trash an entire line, especially if we're talking about a small niche house that's just starting out. However, if there are already positive reviews of the line out there in the perfume community, you'd be helping to provide some balance.

...Here in the convent we tend to be somewhat cloistered, Grey. Speaking of which, I loved Downton Abbey for the first two seasons but dropped it afterward because the way characters were being killed off on the day their children were born was too much of a downer, no pun intended. First it was Lady Sybil and then Matthew Crawley... can you imagine what wretched birthdays their poor kids must've had? So that leaves Sherlock, which I've never seen. Is it any good? There's snow in the forecast. Are you the kind of person who races to the store for milk, bread and eggs before the first flake falls, or do you space it out and end up running to the market for toilet paper mid-blizzard? Use your imagination if you live in a warm climate.

What perfume would suit these guys?
by Cryptic | Parfumo Community
...Thanks for the reply Cryptic. At least for Mendelssohn it must be true, because look what MasterLi wrote about Au Masculin: "One of the most interesting perfumes I've come across. This is like walking through a fairy tale storybook. Think Hansel & Gretel, think a Midsummer Night's Dream, think Peter Pan, even Tim Burton.:558e71d507]What a great review. I especially enjoy the ones that explore how perfume is informed by culture and relate fragrance to other subjects.I actually thought about the AG line for Mendelssohn, Grey; Hadrien and Eau du Sud in particular.
