My Dilemma - stock up on frags for office wear?

...DieNase, I work in healthcare and I am not supposed to wear fragrances at all. It makes it difficult to get through all this perfume. I have resorted to no perfume for work and using perfume while at home. I find nothing wrong with indulging in perfume while sitting at home eating dinner or watching a DVD. I don't go out during the week either, or on the weekends much for that matter.

Help! My Laundry Smells Like Oud!

...No, no one else mentions it. I have smelled the same stale plastic smell going from a scented area to a nonscented one at my parents' house, my previous apartment, and my current one. I might be just mistaking the smell for stale air. Or all three places have the same materials.

Help! My Laundry Smells Like Oud!

...Dulcemio:I don't scent my house (anymore). I used to constantly burn scented oils or incense (what a hippie, right!), but I lost interest in that many years ago. When you moved to another room that didn't smell of oils or incense, did you notice that the room smelled stale, and maybe a little "plastic"? That's the scent I smell in a non-scented room when leaving a scented one. It drives me nuts.

Help! My Laundry Smells Like Oud!

...My environment is mostly neutral. Once in a while I may light up a scented candle, but that's about it. I don't like when my clothes smell like perfume either. I like to start with a "blank canvas" each time I assemble an outfit.

11 Iconic Perfumes of the 80s

...I was surprised with Opium and Brut as well and thought it was a mistake. But I guess both picked up steam in the 80s.

Canvas & Concrete

...Has anyone used this? Does anybody think it works?https://www.canvasandconcrete.com/I'm kind of skeptical. I would think it would evaporate just like any perfume would. But then again, I'm not into the whole "skin chemistry" hubbub.

Jo Loves

...No worries. I assumed the line would probably be a UK exclusive for some time, if not always. Ah well!

Jo Loves

...I emailed someone in their customer service, and she said that the company does ship fragrances to the U.S. The flat fee for shipping is 20 pounds no matter what you order, even if it's just the sample set. Eesh!

Jo Loves

...I posted this question on Fragrantica too.My understanding is Jo Loves is a separate line of fragrances since Jo Malone sold her brand to a bigger company.I would like to sample Jo Loves. There is a set on her website, but it's about $61; plus VAT and shipping, the cost will $83. Is there a U.S. friendly site that has her samples?

Chinese fragrances - any recommendations?

...I personally haven't, but my sister was there a couple of years ago. A lot of of the shopping venues are westernized with the Demeter Fragrance Library and Sephora. She said it's like the Beverly Hills of China. I asked her to find fragrances for me too, and she couldn't come up with anything that wasn't already in the U.S.

Which type of perfume collector are you ?

...I used to buy perfumes for the bottle's looks alone...but I have found that to be a huge waste of money. I don't enjoy them as much if I tuck them away from light and warm areas. I have been happy using decants and samples lately.

Montale 20 mL

...Dulcemio:Hayven, it seems like the FWP sizes are almost never sold retail on their own. I've tried to track down some from other houses.I think it would behoove the high end houses to make small sizes available. We would pay the disproportinately high price for a 10 or 20 ml, get hooked, and then ultimately buy a regular bottle because we don't want to keep paying the higher price per ml. They need to think more like drug pushers. :lol:That would be practical, yes? Hahaha! I did read on an old Bsenotes thread that if you email the company, they can arrange such a deal. But no word back yet since I posted this topic. Hmmph.

Good-smelling cheapies are hard to find

...Great topic!Throughout the years, I have used, forgotten, and returned to Charlotte Russe' s (a teen clothing store brand) Refuge Nights perfume. It's such a cozy, luxurious type of scent for me during th winter. The vanilla, orchid, and rose blend so well together to create this feeling of warmth of a sweater or soft scarf wrapped around me. I had not used it for years, and then I received a bottle in a swap. I was worried I would find the scent synthetic or cheap after all this time, but it still smells just as lovely as I remember it.

Montale 20 mL

...I wonder if anyone has been successful in buying these. I know they come as a free gift with purchase from Montale, but is there a shop out there that sells them? I emailed Montale via their website asking if they would sell some to me, but I don't expect a quick response and it has been a couple of weeks.

How much Bling do you need?

...How about those Agonist blown-glass bottles? They cost way more than the plain ones. I do collect Nina Ricci bottles for their looks (and sometimes smell), but at least they are not all that expensive.
