Your Thoughts on the IFRA?

...Does beg the question that if many people suffer peanut allergies why they don't ban peanuts? In regard to the perfume industy, in deciding to prohibit the use of certain substances you have to wonder just whose interests are being upheld.

Samples from Houses - best experience

...How to get samples directly from the perfumer? Simple as 1,2, 3 Lola! Choose any/all of the brands mentioned on this thread, go to their website (linked via their Parfumo pages) and look for samples or discovery sets.

What perfume have you bought recently?

...Olga1780:I am entirely with you on the $ 200 bottles! But unfortunately, by the time i catch what I want for the right price, I end up with 20 other great deals .....which makes my desired bargain not qualify as a bargain :evil:Ha ha Olga - I think it's a law of the universe! I let something go last night because I have my eye on something else with a heftier price tag. That bottle went for $7! Think we should start a 'one that got away' thread?

What perfume have you bought recently?

...My latest catches are Balmain Ambre Gris and Prada Infusion d'RoseI've had a bit of money to spend on perfume lately. But I'm trying to be disciplined and stick to my wishlist, instead of chasing after every bright, shiney thing that catches my attention. I'll wait and watch for what I want until I can get it at the right price. I could never fork out $200 for a bottle of perfume.

Storing & Organising Your Perfumes

...I recently started storing fbs alphabetically by house in basket drawers in a dresser in my bedroom. Works fine except I've already filled them up  My vintage bottles, sizable decants and minis are stored in a small antique cupboard. My samples are in boxes. Love the pantry idea but don't have the space right now.

The functional no-nos of perfume bottles

...Don't you feel that in some price brackets the bottle gimcrackery is meant to be a distraction from the juice?

Samples from Houses - best experience

...I'm not talking about decanters, but ordering directly from the perfumer. For me best experiences so far are with Parfum d'Empire and Neil Morris who earn gold stars for reasonable prices, prompt Internationl delivery, nice hand written notes AND fab fragrances. So who would you recommend?
