...I should have started the topic from the last page, not from the first! Finally I can see the doggies andmthe cats. I have two dogs, a Weimaranner and a puppy German Shepherd. Both have a good sense of smell and the Weimaranner is recognized for his super developped olphactive sense and it was used in the Desert Storm to trace the unexploded missiles. Now, allow me to tell you how my dogs react to the perfumes I wear. If they like it they come and sniff and lick my hand. If they do not like it, they sniff and turn away. It was tested numerous times. I will post later apicture of my two wonder dogs.

What most people don't know about you.

This is encouraging and creates closiness.
...I love perfumes and was shy to talk about how I envisaged themAnd that is because I am shy, although I am percieved as strong and cold..I am a linguist by profession and a pianist by passion.I have two German dogs: a Wiemanranner and a German Shepherd. They give me their opinion about the perfume I wear-I will elaborate later. My husband's name is William and I have a grown-up son, Jean-Paul.I love cleanning the house and ironing , decorating, painting and doing repair works around the house.I shovel the snow for my old neighbors. Love gardening.Love thrillers, nordic noir, political thrillers .Passionate for politics. For me life is made of small details not by weddings and funerals only.I talk in metaphores. My middle name is " What If "

Do chilled perfumes turn scentless?
by Tessa | Perfume Discussions
...I am glad nothing happened to your perfumes, Cryptic. It is the first time when I noticed this phenomenon. We have had record low temps not seen in 40 years.I tried the L'Infante today and I can state that it was not.

Do chilled perfumes turn scentless?
by Tessa | Perfume Discussions
...I will tell you about the outcome. As much as I know the freezing point of alcohol is around -173F. The oils can freeze more easily and maybe that's why I could not feel the scent . Anyway, the bottles were not frozen but very, very cold.Among them I had a Divine-L'Infante and it would be such a pitty to loose it.

Reusing empty sample vials?
by Tessa | Perfume Discussions
...I wash them with soap and put some baking soda inside, leave them for a while and rinse them clean. I also fill them , screw the top and empty by spraying. A way to clean the sprayer.

Do chilled perfumes turn scentless?
by Tessa | Perfume Discussions
...I will explain. It is not about the perfume aspect it is the real cold bottles of perfume. I ordered some and, brother, it is deadly cold in my area, something like 4F for a high in the Midwest of US and when I got my bottles they were cold and even after an hour, when I tried the perfume it seemed scentless. Has anybody had such a happenning?

Lasting power, your thoughts
by Tessa | Perfumes & Brands
...Dali is good and wearable.I am also curious about Andy Tauer's Explorer though I am always shocked by his scents. I own Reverie au jardin, Lys du desert-from the Centennials-and Loretta from the Tableaux ...All his scents are meditative ones. While Reverie, with its lavender, is something you can wear fearlessly, the Lys is so dense and impressive that it scares me. At least for a while. It is as if you are in the outer space in the black void and you cannot have a breath of air and instead of beeing super light from the lack of gravity you have the impression of being rooted to the ground, motionless. It is only from time to time that I wear them. Loretta is an orange perfume. A strong one .
