The original was perfect; the director's cut rambles. It's a bad idea, in general, I think to cut and paste new material into a masterpiece. They should include the random footage (often excluded from the original FOR A VERY GOOD REASON) as a DVD extra, but not re-do the film, IMNSHO.The same thing happened to Apocalypse Now. The original is MUCH better than the DC. 8)
