...Have any of you experienced the longevity of a well-stored, much-loved perfume waning from wearing to wearing over a period of time? Not only is the lifespan of the perfume on my skin less and less, I find myself having to spray more of the juice to get my usual "aura" going.At first I wondered if it were some kind of habituation to the perfume on my part, so I've been going stretches of a week or more without using the particular perfume to try and get back to a neutral state. Unfortunately that didn't seem to make much difference.I considered hat perhaps my sensitivity to some particular notes may be settling, but the perfume was a favourite of mine for a long time before this issue started cropping up. Nothing different with my skin or habits, either. It's quite the mystery. :(

...I wish I could. The only thing close is a casual, day-long crash course offered by a niche perfumery in Melbourne. You go home with a perfume or two and it costs and arm and a leg. I get the feeling it's designed more as a fun social flutter than a learning session though.I would love a practical course, for example some clarification re: solvents, fixatives and rules for mixing dilutions, the ability to sample a wide variety of aromachemicals without having to blindly order from overseas (and I'm sure customs will just LOVE that!) and so on. I'm reading through an online course but the florid language and meandering topics remind me of a rambling professor without the charm of actually being in the classroom with said rambling professor... it's more like reading a confusing, typed-up recording instead.

Unfortunately in my first package one of the vials had been broken in transit, so I messaged them to let them know the padding may be inadequate. Brecourt offered to replace the vial but I had already ordered some more samples (only a few dollars) so they included a whole heap of extra samples in compensation for the one lost!Their customer service is also wonderful and prompt. All in all I have to say, Brecourt is ticking every box for me. This is how perfume samples should be done!
