Perfumes that Smells like a Temple or a Church
by PontNeuf | Perfume Recommendations
...I think I might mention here my new best-loved scent at the moment :"Sideris"Myrrh and incense but the kind not yet burnt. Slightly vanilla-touched and a bit powdery as well. More the pleasant kind of church :-)Very dark and mystical is "Sahara Noir" by Tom Ford. This one will knock you off your feet (whether positively or negatively is up to you to decide). Very heavy on incense with woodiness and rather gothic IMHO.

Montale 20 mL
by PontNeuf | Perfume Discussions
...As far as I know these cute little 20ml bottles are officially only available as gift for the purchase of a 100ml bottle (at the Montale boutique in Paris you will be able to receive them) and I am also positive when ordering online at Montale the same rule applies but have never ordered online with them so far.Well, but as stated there are ways of getting your hands on one of these small bottles at other sources :-)

How much Bling do you need?
by PontNeuf | Perfumes & Brands
...No bling for me, please. I prefer the plain and simple ones (like those from Chanel). As I am not a bottle collector I guess the looks of the bottle is not that important to me....but I admit the naming of a perfume might get me hooked...occasionally :-)

I would just love to buy that one.....or put it among my favourite pullovers *dreaming*.

A lot of people claim they can't smell SALT
by PontNeuf | Off Topic
...Smellsogood:White sugar in large quantities has quite a strong smell and I find it quite unpleasant, almost disturbingly like vomit. Yuk!Yes, I know what you mean. Sugar only smells nice when being transformed to caramel :-)

Which Fragrance Evokes the Most Memories for You and Why?
by PontNeuf | Perfumes & Brands
..."Obsession" was my first real perfume love. When it was new on the market I found it classy, sexy, unforgettable and then there was this scented strip in a VOGUE magazine. In short : to my teenage nose it was heaven.Obsession was my signature scent for at least a year, then I got tired of it as I really used a lot and it began to smell different to me.Another perfume love I will always cherish is "Opium". The good old Opium which has been heaven or hell to so many noses and over decades and generations. What a blast of exotic notions - if you wore it you needed guts. I had...a little :-) As a teen it amazed me but I was also frightened of that mighty queen of spices and resin."Poison" Yes, another 80s flashback comes to me the very moment I have Poison in my nose. Even the current formulation still has a tiny bit of that huge, loud boldness that I already adored in my pre-twen years. Of course, I was too young for such a scent but I did not care. I especially loved the Parfum de Toilette.Even with a changed formulation I cannot deny their importance which lingers in my memories. Lucky you if you still own a bottle of the treasures you adored many years back :-)In my later years for some time I adored "Eternity" and other rather fruity-floral lightweights, I guess I was still looking for my inner self (and that one never, ever is an "Eternity" girl ! *g*).Eternity was my favourite scent as a twen. I still kind of like it but it just is not me at all. Not anymore. Nonetheless, the memories are still connected to Eternity. Memories of some love stories and of coming of age a bit more.

A lot of people claim they can't smell SALT
by PontNeuf | Off Topic
...Uhmm.....I can´t smell salt, I am pretty sure about that.If at all, I might be able to detect some kind of smell when holding the salt package right under my nose but never ever could I find it in seasoned foods or even in salted noodle water.Guess my nose is just not so great :(

Re: Gustave Klimt - La dame au boa de plumes
...Pipette:Here is a small photo, cannot get it much larger.(She is on the way to see her lover.)I love Klimt´s work, his way of depicting sensuality is wonderful. For the lady you chose I would suggest something really sexy :-)My first thought was "Shalimar" but then I felt that ladies from that era did not wear such perfumes without ruining their reputation :-) Nevertheless I would stick to my initial idea....which scent would you guys choose for her ?

If your favourite scent was an art style....
by PontNeuf | Parfumo Community
.......which one would it be ?My favourite scent is Mitsouko by Guerlain. In my humble opinion Mitsouko fits to be an early baroque creation, like one of Vermeer´s paintings. Full of light but with a twist within.
