...Welcome to Parfumo, Aririri!I've never heard of Oysho ".2 (Eau de Parfum)" before. Can you describe it? Is it spicy, floral, aquatic, all of the above? I'm intrigued! :)

Aromatics Elixir
by Exciter76 | Perfume Discussions
...Long, long ago I used to work for a Clinique counter. I learned to LOATHE Aromatics Elixir after an associate dropped an entire bottle of AE on a concrete stockroom floor. I think enough time has passed and I'd be open to trying it again. But I digress...I know that customers who were not keen on the edp often bought the lotion. Some of those customers swore it smelled exactly like the perfume did back when it was first introduced. I cannot confirm or deny that fact but it is something worth checking out. I've often thought of ordering a tube of lotion as a re-introduction.

My 12 year olds first scent
by Exciter76 | Perfume Discussions
...DieNase:Why not let him choose one that he likes? What's the intended price range? Young noses are more sensitive than ours, I would go for something light, fresh and inoffensive. What about Mugler Cologne? This, 100%. I think you should pick a day to go scent shopping if it's safe to do where you are. Sephora is a great place to start. If in person shopping isn't an option, consider ordering samples through luckyscent, Scent Bird, or Sephora. You two can sit down and discuss which scents he likes and why he likes them. And yes, Mugler Cologne is a fantastic soapy scent but the musk component is strong and can be polarizing.

Can you recognize this packing? What perfume is it?
by Exciter76 | Perfume Discussions
...I tried to do a Google image search and it turned up empty. My guess is it's a holiday bottle of "Sweet Honesty" by Avon. The packaging reminds me of my first bottle. Sorry I'm not much help here! :)

Winter's coming, what is your favorite fragrance to wear.
by Exciter76 | Perfumes & Brands
...For me, winter is the best time to pull out my vintage-y spices and over-the-top gourmands:"Cinnabar (1978) (Eau de Parfum)""Coco (Eau de Parfum)""Shalimar (Eau de Parfum)""Pour Une Femme de Caron (2001) (Eau de Parfum)""I Love New York For Her""Fancy Nights""Noir Exquis""Vanilla Bean Noel"

...AlbertooL:i would say shalimar guerlainI totally agree with this. It's smoky, sweet but not in a de rigueur gourmand way, and carnally funky in the best possible way. :)

Fragrancenet Shipping From Nevada?
by Exciter76 | Perfumes & Brands
...I'm so sorry you had to go through this headache. I don't think I've ever ordered anything over $50 from them because of their ineptitude. I ordered a few perfumes for my mom for her birthday last month and they arrived late as usual. Lucky, my house is at the beginning of my mailman's route. I shudder to think of those bottles cooking in record temps.

Books: what are you reading right now?
by Exciter76 | Off Topic
...Since the pandemic has left me with a lot more free time, I decided to tackle Stephen King's Dark Tower series. Presently, I'm between books; I finished book 4 and I'm waiting for book 5. I'm doing things the (semi) old fashioned way by checking them out virtually from the library.

A collection of contradictions
by Exciter76 | Perfume Recommendations
...Hmm, you sound like me when I was young. I found my happiness in vintage perfumes. I reveled in strong classics, such as Coco (the 1984 one, not Mlle), Cinnabar, and Youth Dew. I found these scents better suited my Docs and Creepers better than the gauzy offerings, like Sunflowers and CK One, which were all the rage when I was young. If classics aren't your cup of tea check out indies and niche. Not all niche are expensive; take a look at Smell Bent or Olympic Orchids for something original and affordable. And certainly, let us know what you find! :)

'Lost' Adrienne Vittadini Fragrance
by Exciter76 | Perfumes & Brands
...How unfortunate! I found a bottle on FragranceNet* and I'm fighting the urge to buy it. I love just about anything vanilla based so it sounds like it could be a good one to have. I digress.I don't know why some perfumes get attention while others fade into obscurity, or in this case, are born into obscurity. I was wearing "Bronze (Eau de Parfum)" by Ellen Tracy a few days ago. I decided to read some of the reviews for it and found the reviewers pondering how this gem was relegated to the clearance bins of TJ Maxx and Ross. Still, it was saved from total obscurity, unlike AV Desire or Oscar de la Renta's Something Gold, one I've had my eye on._______________________*No affiliation, I just have a terrible habit of handing over my hard earned cash to them.

parfum used
by Exciter76 | Parfumo Community
Re: parfum used
...mine is just a request for opinion. I see prices of perfumes used in very other sprays to be used. Thank you/quote]I hope others sound off on their opinions too. I'm curious! I've been able to own some pricey perfumes thanks to used bottles on eBay. I've had great experiences with used perfumes; the perfumes were in excellent condition by the time they got to me.

parfum used
by Exciter76 | Parfumo Community
...Would you mind clarifying? Are you looking to sell your used perfumes or are you looking to buy used perfumes? I have no qualms about buying or selling used perfumes. I don't buy or sell perfumes that have had skin contact, like rollerballs and dauber bottles. I think that's risky. But spray bottles? I think in either case, you're good.If I haven't answered your question, please clarify. Good luck!

boozy Layton
by Exciter76 | Perfume Recommendations
...I've not tried "Layton" but you said rum, so "Les Élixirs Charnels - Gourmand Coquin" came to mind. It's a very rummy dark chocolate rose scent but don't fear, it is unisex to my nose. It's a big love for me! (Now I really want to try "Layton".)

Need help for a women’s fragrance gift!
by Exciter76 | Perfume Recommendations
...I'm of a rare school of thought--perfumes make thoughtful and lovely gifts. Some of my most cherished perfumes came to me as unsolicited gifts. I think the only requirement should be the amount of thought you put into picking your gift.I am going to assume she is a Leo? They are some of the most exciting and bold people I've ever met! I think her perfume should reflect that, while also keeping her preferences in mind. GreMuser provided an excellent list and I wholeheartedly agree with every suggestion made. I'd like to throw in a few more, even though they fall outside of your designer list:☆ "Idôle" by Lancôme☆ "Honeysuckle & Jasmine" by Jo Malone☆ "Idylle (Eau de Parfum)" by Guerlain☆ "N°19 (Eau de Toilette)" by Chanel☆ "Chance (Eau de Parfum)" by Chanel

Re: mid 60's woman, looking for a new signature scent.
by Exciter76 | Perfume Recommendations
...Ah, yes, a time before COVID... I'm feeling nostalgic already!I know "No. 02 - L'Air du Désert Marocain (Eau de Toilette Intense)" has its fans and foes. I happen to love it to bits but I know cumin (the sweaty b.o. smelling spice) isn't for everyone. It takes me back to my childhood, when I went to an elementary school in Los Angeles with a large Armenian population. The mothers were always so glamorously dressed, their makeup was flawless, and they smelled so exquisite. They were the embodiment of bold femininity and beauty. LADDM reminds me of the perfumes they wore back in the early 1980s. It's strangely modern and nostalgic at once. Definitely give it a try before you buy.Ha! I thought I was the only one who took pleasure in smelling new tires! You might want to check out "Bvlgari Black", which is the best set of new rubber tires in the most intriguing way. The leather and tea give it a smooth rubbery scent. It's an odd one that has to be experienced.

...Mazel Tov! A confident woman who has great taste! I applaud anyone who confidently wears what they like. I've had my opinions about certain perfumes change based on the resolute wearing of said perfumes. Body chemistry plays a big role in how scent is perceived. I'd say situational wearing plays a role, too; a lighter spritz or a softer scent would be appropriate for office/religious institutional settings but a more liberal hand when partaking in social settings and date nights. Other than that, do what feels good for YOU! :)Check these out:"Cinéma (Eau de Parfum)" by YSL"Youth Dew Amber Nude" by Estee Lauder/Tom Ford"Noir pour Femme" by Tom Ford"Coco (Eau de Parfum)" by Chanel"Cool Water Woman" by Davidoff"Shi" by Alfred Sung"Green Tea Lotus" by Elizabeth Arden"Grand Amour" by Goutal"No. 02 - L'Air du Désert Marocain (Eau de Toilette Intense)" by Tauer Perfumes"L'Agent (Eau de Parfum)" by Agent Provocateur

Cheap Men's Teenager Fragnance
by Exciter76 | Perfume Recommendations
...I'm so sorry about that. I should've asked that first. I clarified your search in your topic's title. I hope that's okay. I'd still check out Yves Rocher, Avon (assuming you have access to Avon scents), indie brands and various celebrity scents. Kyse Perfumes are unisex and delightfully unique so I still stand by them. Be sure to check out Olympic Orchids too. I think they ship internationally but double check that. They have loads of wonderful woody scents, if that's your thing.
