What Smells Repell You No Without Perfumes
by PontNeuf | Off Topic
...Fish (disgusting to the core)Body odours : old sweat and greasy hair (gross, gross, gross - and avoidable)Garbage(yuk)Mouth odour (rotting teeth and/or alcoholic breath)Unwashed dogs (owners: please bathe your cutie more often *g*)Household cleaners with cheap citric fragrancePuke (the very thought of it is awful)Boiled eggs (that sulphuric smell peels my nails off)Strangely, to me the smell of excrements seems not even close to the ones in my listing above....cannot tell why.

What perfume have you bought recently?
by PontNeuf | Perfumes & Brands
...Shalimar + Mitsouko, with each 7.5ml extrait. Too bad I just can´t get myself to use them. I hate the very thought of destroying that beautiful sealing :x In the meantime I just continue wearing my EdT / EdP of each.

Infusion d'Homme vs Infusion d'iris
by PontNeuf | Perfumes & Brands
...I personally think that Inf.d´Iris is a fine piece of soap with a floral touch, Inf.d´Homme smells like freshly done laundry. Both very appealing, especially on hot summer days when all my other usual favourites are no option.

WHO.......is the worst actor or actress known to mankind?
by PontNeuf | Off Topic
...ZeZe:Will Ferrell, can't stand him.I'm surprised someone listed brad pitt as 1 of the worst, he makes fantastic movies imo :shock:Will Ferrell was my suggestion, too. He tries too hard to be funny.Brad Pitt ? Hmm....he made a few good movies ages ago but I find him kind of boring now.

Favorite Actor/Actress
by PontNeuf | Off Topic
...Difficult to answer but here are some of my fav´s ....Male :John Malkovich (the sexiest bad boy of ´em all)Johnny Depp (I love his affinity for bizarre movie roles)James Stewart (one of the best from the "old" times)Clark Gable (Gone with the wind would not be the same without him)Michael Landon (he makes me cry when I watch "Highway to Heaven")Female :Meryl Streep (simply gorgeously talented)Glenn Close (ditto *g*)Audrey Hepburn (so fragile, so beautiful, so warm-hearted)Katherine Hepburn (way ahead of her time, she was emancipated when almost no actress was)Grace Kelly (she is THE beauty goddess and made wonderful movies)Fran Drescher (because I love The Nanny and especially her kind of humor)There are many more I could mention but I do not want to exhaust your patience :-)

Most beautiful flacon(s) in your collection?
by PontNeuf | Perfumes & Brands
...I absolutely LOVE the old extrait bottles of Opium with the black tassle and the little "window". Besides, I cherish my "Chanel no.5" extrait bottle and cannot open it as I do not want to damage/remove that pretty sealing.--I do not have it (yet) in my collection but I like the extrait bottles of Shalimar and Mitsouko by Guerlain.

Which Miss Dior Cherie do you preffer?
by PontNeuf | Perfumes & Brands
...I loved the original version. So strawberry-fruity, so "young" somehow. Delicious, too.The new version has grown up but that does not appeal to me at all.To me, the naming "Miss" and "Chérie" suggest a girlish, flirty scent. Cheeky but with class. Now it has become overly floral and bland.

Which masculine scents can be worn by a woman?
by PontNeuf | Perfumes & Brands
...Any men´s scent can be heaven on a lady and vice versa. I have learnt to ignore marketing labels and just follow my nose and taste. As I tend to lean towards sweet and gourmandy scents I think my choices from the men´s counter are not a big challenge for a lady :-)

Which Miss Dior Cherie do you preffer?
by PontNeuf | Perfumes & Brands
...I definitely liked the "old" version which had that nice strawberry note. It felt a young cheeky girl, full of energy and curiosity. The new version is too floral for me, it lost that carefree feeling.

The classiest scent in your wardrobe
by PontNeuf | Perfumes & Brands
...As stated in German Parfumo I do not have any perfume "for special occasions only". I wear them all whenever I feel like it.However, I define "classy" by the overall impression of the scent and by its price. That being said I would name "Memoir Woman" as my classiest one. Followed by "Tobacco Vanille" by Tom Ford and "Spiriteuse Double Vanille" and "Bois d´Arménie" (both by Guerlain).

Storing & Organising Your Perfumes
by PontNeuf | Perfumes & Brands
...Currently I store my perfumes in my wardrobe but with the effect that I need to stack some onto each other. Not so good. I will buy a kitchen closet which would suit my purpose nicely. I have ceased accumulating large amounts of samples, I only hold 5-6 minisprays but give/throw away those I do not need....oh, that reminds me of something :-)

Which scent would Dorian Gray love ?
by PontNeuf | Parfumo Community
...Hello EveryoneDorian Gray is my favourite character in the field of literature and I sometimes wonder which kind of perfume he would wear.Something slightly animalistic maybe ? Woody, dark ? Or would he be more into leather or even into a floral touch ?When I smell "Back to Black" by Kilian he comes into my mind immediately. Same with "Black Afghano" by Nasomatto. "Emir" with its voluminous spiciness and masculine woods might also be a guess.I wonder if Oscar Wilde might have had the same taste in perfumery as his famous "son".Love to read your thoughts on this.

Scents From Hell - The Most Beautific Perfumes
by PontNeuf | Perfumes & Brands
...I think "Angel" belongs in that category, too. The manyfold discussions which can be found in forums show it is controversial to the core :-)Another scent which I found rather strange is "Aoud Cuir d´Arabie" by Montale. Like a dead animal, rotting in a leather armchair :-( However, I think this might be art in some way and there might be one courageous person who can pull it off nicely.
