FragranceX and testers?

...I have bought many bottles of fragrances from them, no testers though). The only reason I don't purchase from them anymore, is since we have entered the EU, i had to pay large duty tax the last two orders, so I only buy from EU sites now. But, fragranceX products were always fresh, and well packed.

Guerlain - Shalimar Souffle de Parfum

...I have just purchased a large decant of the Initial EDP. It is very nice, and I'm sorry they will discontinue it, as it seems to be very popular. I have both Ode vanilla's..the Mexique, and the Madagascar. I love them both. The bottles, and the boxing is also beautiful! I would love to sample the newest addition! It certainly looks so appealing, the blue color etc.

Bvlgari Jasmin Noir: EDP or EDT

...EDP...because it is longer lasting! As I have a problem with longevity, I always purchase the E d P versions. I love my Jasmin Noir, but it is rather soft. There is a sillage, but it's rather soft and light. I would definitely go for the EDP.

light florientals, please?

...Another lovely summertime floral to try, is Fleurs de Gardenia (2012) by Creed. No citrus in this, and very suitable for the hotter months.

light florientals, please?

...Hi, I have just recently purchased the new Alien Extraordinaire..it is very refreshing, and really lovely! I don't like a lot of citrus either, and this fragrance doesn't magnify the bit of citrus that is in the top notes. The only sad part, for me anyway, is it doesn't seem to last. This could be due to my dry skin, but have to reapply a lot. I bought this blind, as the notes really appealed, and I'm not disappointed, but the longevity could certainly be better! I am hoping it will be stronger I. The hot summer months!

rose orientals, please!

...I can suggest two rose orientals. The first is a wonderful fragrance! It has oud in it, but it is such a well put together scent. Armani Prive Rose D' Arabie. The second may be a bit sweet, as it's actually a vanilla oriental type, but the rose is very pleasant) Mancera Roses Vanille. But, I can't help but mention my very favorite rose, of all times (so far, anyway), but this isn't a real oriental, but a Chypre Floral) Andy Tauer's Une Rose Chypree. Hope this has helped towards your test list! :)

Is it time to stock up?

Re: Is it time to stock up?
...Pipette:With the impending sharpening of EU and/or IFRA Restrictions, is it advisable to start stocking up?I have some very good perfumes that fall under the current regulations. Who knows what the future will bring and how fast good merchandise can be turned out after severe restrictions go into effect. What are your favorites and do you intend to stock up. Or, realistically, do you already have a wardrobe to last for the rest of your days.I would have to find out just which perfumes of mine actually fall under these regulations. I hope Tauer fragrances aren't included in this). I don't have a large collection, but who knows how long the rest of our days are!

What perfume have you bought recently?

...Pipette:"Les Nombres d'Or - Vanille" by Mona di Orio. A big disappointment. It smells of Vanilla but too thin. There are better ones. Luckily it was only a decant from TPC, but no full bottle is foreseen. I was waiting to hear what you thought of this one! I was thinking of ordering a decant myself. I will try to get a sample instead, as don't like the idea of it being thin. Thanks for the heads up!

I Must Have It!!

...Thanks! I will go on afterwards, and have a look! At the moment, I'm purchasing a 30ml. decant of the beautiful Armani Prive Rose D' Arabie. The full bottle is a bit steep, so will be quite happy with 30 ml. I really must have it!!

Chanel Les Exclusifs?

...I am lucky enough to have the wonderful Coromandel. A beautiful fragrance, and it was very difficult to buy, as not available to buy here, in Croatia. I was very lucky to have a friend bring it to me from London. Took me ages to track it down though!

11 Iconic Perfumes of the 80s

...KL was one I loved, and wore a lot of in the 80's...KL, Karl Lagerfield. It wasn't over the top expensive...but now, OMG..it costs an absolute fortune! I wish I had stored a bottle of this beauty away. I wore Opium for years, as well.

What really makes you BUY a perfume?

...I don't usually blind buy. I have, however bought only two fragrances blind, due to reviews etc. One of them I really liked, the other..well I tolerated, but ended up gifting it to my DIL. I usually always buy my fragrances based on a sample, or by testing at the shop. When I love something so very much, it stays on my mind, and I can't stop thinking about the particular fragrance...it drives me crazy, and I when I make up my mind that I must have it, I will go to great lengths to get it! Thank Goodness this isn't every single fragrance I sample, or else I would be either bankrupt, or worse! What my main problem is, where I live. Not all fragrances that I love are available here, or they cost an arm and a leg! Our taxes are very high here). I do a lot of research on which online shops stock it, what are the shipping costs..taxes duty etc. It took me months to finally obtain my Coromandel, but in the end, I finally got it. I was lucky, as had friends coming here, to where I live, and they graciously brought it over from England for me. Now, I have finally obtained another fragrance that I have wanted for ages, a Tauer fragrance). I don't purchase tons of perfumes, nor do I want every single new thing that comes out. And, if I can't afford it, or if it's impossible for me to get it, then I just move on. What makes me want the perfume? The way the notes harmonize to my nose..the way it sits on my skin..the way I feel, when I wear it. That is the clincher for me. And, I just know, when it will be, true love!
