...I think anyone who loves vanilla would love this fragrance - and sorry to repeat myself, but the bottle is SO pretty!

'Lost' Adrienne Vittadini Fragrance
by Fhaldara | Perfumes & Brands
...I recently purchased an Adrienne Vittadini perfume called Desire. It comes in a beautiful purple flowered bottle, the perfume itself is a fruity vanilla. I can find no information anywhere about it - the only place it's listed is on the perfume site where I bought it. While trying to track it down I noticed that this has happened with some of her other perfumes too. Does anyone know why this is?

What's up with Chanel?
by Fhaldara | Perfumes & Brands
...That is indeed unfortunate if samples and decants are being taken off the market because of legal issues as PBullFriend mentioned. It's always good to be able to test a pricey fragrance before spending a lot on a FB. Even after spending a good deal of time reading reviews and searching out fragrance notes I've made some expensive mistakes when I've not been able to find a sample!

pay to get review published?
by Fhaldara | Parfumo Community
...I enjoy reading reviews and blogs on perfume sites, and also enjoy reviewing my favorite fragrances as well, that is, except for one site. This site tells you that if you 'upgrade' (pay)" your reviews will be published instantly" but if you don't 'upgrade' you will have to wait for an administrator to review your review. I wrote a review without upgrading to see what would happen. It's been over 3 months, and the review is still "on hold", and I seriously doubt it will ever be published. I don't have a problem donating to free sites I use and enjoy to help them keep going, but I have a problem with the aforementioned site. It's always been my understanding that reviews are helpful to other community members in deciding whether to buy a certain fragrance, or to simply learn more about one. I think not having a review published because you haven't shelled out money to the site sets a bad precedent, not to mention being unhelpful to the community. What do you think?

Weekly Scent Discussion #24: Your Scent Journey of 2015.
by Fhaldara | Perfumes & Brands
...Thank you all for your kind words about my mother's passing - she was amazing. She worked her way through law school in the late 1940's, a time when female attorneys were almost unheard of. She had difficulty finding a job despite being 1st in her class, because she wasn't a man, but was finally hired, became a full partner in the firm, and had a very successful career - and wore her Blue Grass throughout it!

Weekly Scent Discussion #24: Your Scent Journey of 2015.
by Fhaldara | Perfumes & Brands
...My two biggest 'scent successes' of 2015 were the additions of Jo Malone's Orange Blossom (suggested to me by Briarthorn, and I'll be forever grateful to you!) and Dame Perfumery's Mandarin, Neroli, & Cedar to my orange blossom/neroli collection. Both of these present my beloved orange in ways that work beautifully for me. Another was L'Artisan's Timbuktu, this type of resinous scent is new territory for me, one I intend to explore more in the coming year. And finally, after endless searching I scored two bottles of Eau de Bonpoint, one alcohol free, and one EDT. The search for the concentre version will continue. My biggest disappointment was Nicolai's Eau sOleil, I just can't understand why it smells so awful on me. And lastly, there will always be a bottle of Elizabeth Arden's Blue Grass in a very special place in my collection. It was my mother's signature scent, sadly she passed away quite suddenly just before thanksgiving this year. Blue Grass brings her image to me more strongly than anything else. I wish a happy holiday season to all my fragrant friends, and I appreciate all of you who post and share your knowledge of perfume with everyone!

Perfumes that remind you of Christmas
by Fhaldara | Perfumes & Brands
...For me it's Timbuktu by L'Artisan. It reminds me of the biblical story of the Magi, bearing their fragrant gifts to the baby Jesus.

Eeau d'Orange Vert or Concentre d'Orange Vert
by Fhaldara | Perfumes & Brands
...How big a difference do you find between these two fragrances? How noticeable is the amber note in the concentre version?

Spring Grass & Lotus
by Fhaldara | Perfumes & Brands
...I recently purchased this online (blind buy) but I can't find it listed on any of the perfume websites. Its called "Saks Fifth Avenue Black Spring Grass & Lotus". It comes in a green box with 'Black ' in large letters going the length of the box (black lettering) and Saks Fifth Avenue Spring Grass & Lotus in white at the bottom. The flacon is square cut glass, clear with an ornate gold cap. I'll try to get some pics of it. I'm surprised not to see it listed, its a good quality fragrance - VERY similar to Marc Jacob's Splash Grass, at a fraction of the price.

Eau de Bonpoint: The unobtainable fragrance Bonpoint (Eau de Toilette) - Bonpoint
by Fhaldara | Perfume Discussions
...Does ANYONE know where Eau de Bonpoint can be purchased? Clicking on the product on the Bonpoint website gives me a page not available message. Emails to the company have never been answered. I found one bottle on ebay which turned out to be counterfeit. I'd be eternally grateful if anyone can help!
