...Dlane1953:My first scent memory--not a brand fragrance memory per se--was old fashioned lilacs in our yard when I was two. The first scent I wore as a teen was Muguet de Bois, the cheap stuff, mind you, but nonetheless a sentimental favorite with me since it still reminds me of that state of innocence and anticipation that is part of being 15. I still love lily of the valley and wear Dior's in spring and summer.I wore Muguet de Bois in grade school and I still love it along with anything else that has Lily of the Valley. It was my signature scent for years untll Jessica McClintock came out. I think our earlier loves will always influence us.

How do you feel about the oud trend?

old news to me
...I had Arab friends in college back in the early 80's who gave me pure oud perfumes to wear. It was very strong but not unpleasant. I didn't need any more, it just was too strong. I do like the idea of it being well blended into modern perfumes.

Which Miss Dior Cherie do you preffer?
...I have the middle version which is EDT. The Miss Dior they've gone back to is also very good so I won't miss this version too much. I love them both. The popcorn and strawberries version never held much appeal to me.

...Guusje:OCD? Color + size coordinate? Did Somebody call my name? LOL  I did keep my samples upright in a shoebox lit filled with that green flower piece stuff (oasis), but at one point the shoe lits became to much.(I had 3, over 400 samples)So then I bought plastic boxes with compartments that I can make bigger and smaller: (and did a big give-away of unloved samples)Bottom shelf: (and yes: to the right is the collection of my son 5yo hihi)I have 5 of those plastic containers: 2 with samples to keep, 1 with "maybe's" and 2 with samples that can go :) The basket is full with samples that just came in and need to be tested. All need and tidy 8)That cabinet is awesome and really looks like something I'd love to emulate. Currently I have five perfume trays displayed and several drawers of boxed perfumes. This system would allow me to store all the perfumes in one place and in total darkness.
