*sigh* I admire his accomplishments, but he also makes me feel like a slacker.

I think so. I read somewhere that he writes and performs country music! What a cool guy. The kid is a total renaissance man. I admire his prodigious brain and commitment to public service. We might just have a President Farrow one day. :-)

Woody Allen and Frank's widow are calling the recent revelation "absurd" and "junk."

Ummm ... somebody needs to visit the optomotrist.

yeah, she was an odd little duck, poor thing, even as brilliant as she was. And I can't laugh at you because my mom loved her too. As a teen I spent hours pouring over her poetry, trying to understand her.

She was a recluse and possibly agoraphobic, which may account for her gravity. She literally did not get out much (lol) but I love her anyway. "Ample Make This Bed" is one of my favorite poems ever. You can laugh at me now and I won't mind. :)

"I died for Beauty, but was scare adjusted in the tomb

When one who died for Truth was lain in an adjoining room.

He questioned softly why I failed. "For Beauty" I replied.

"And I for Truth, the two are one, we bretheren are," he said.

And so as kinsmen met a night, we talked beneath the rooms,

Until the moss had reached our lips and covered up our names."

I randomly memorized this Emily Dickinson poem for a class assnignment in high school. At the time I thought it was so deep and romantic. Looking at it now I am rolling my eyes. Such a great poet, but man, did she take stuff too seriously!

"The Red Wheelbarrow" evades what it seems to invite: a simple, visual interpretation. It seems to be absolutely clear, but, at the same time, it's a riddle. Whatever you may decide the poem means intellectually, as an art-object it holds on to its own indelible shape and colour. Its images are irrefutable, and no amount of verbal rain will ever wash them from the memory they have entered – nor dull the shiny, spring-like, fresh-paint patina of happiness that this particular wheelbarrow seems to carry.

^^^^I'm sorry, but you did ask. Ridiculous, isn't it? Lol.

We sure did. It was a whirl of hyperactivity. The weather was great but the heat of Arizona was a bit much. Must have been the altitude. Thanks for the kind words! XO
